I‘ve been feeling super motivated lately and I‘ve been killing my workouts. My legs are so sore after spinning which means it was a good one 😊. I‘m hoping this motivation stays with me through the holidays because I‘ve also been motivated to eat holiday treats 😝. About a week to go until I head stateside 💕 and I am so excited! 🎄
This morning I’m proud! I had a session yesterday with a therapist to work on my shoulder. Finally finding the right people to sort it out completely and I found out that I can do swimming as my recovery! I used to swim for 5 years as a kid and I actually adore swimming so it’s a massive win for me I can dodge yoga to swim 🤣. So I’ve done my recovery stretches as you can’t realistically workout for 48 hours post it. This takes massive constraint which I can implement as now I can swim tonight. Even showing constraint and listening to my body flying back from San Fran saying girl I’m shaking don’t even think about it. Showing up isn’t a problem for me. Not showing up most definitely is as fitness is my therapy. But I’m now finding the correct recovery for me which I enjoy and let’s me loose off some steam. Longest Monday ever paid off 🤣. What do you do for recovery?
Got this #RiseandGrind tip from the @thesharkdaymond .
Since we look at our phones on average 100x a day . .
I started using his tip to change the picture on my lock screen .
I select a picture to inspire me, a picture of how far I’ve come or a picture of where I want to be.
Try it out and watch how it inspires you!
This week a picture of my dream vacation @fsmaui .
Surround yourself with positivity.
It is the only thing that will lift you up.
- People that support you.
- Environments that inspire you.
- Interests that stimulate your mind.
- Learning something new.
- Doing something outside your comfort zone.
- Showing love to a friend, a relative, a stranger.
- Meditating. @jasonstephensonmeditation - Powering through a workout.
- Being grateful.
The moment you feel any negativity, thank God for what you have and keep moving forward.
Perhaps because I spend so much time alone, I find myself considering & reconsidering its implications. I don't have a family or a partner to rely upon. I don't have a safety net. Nada. Zero. Zip. Nilch.
If I'm going to succeed - and bet your ass I will - it will be because of my own drive, my own determination, and my own choices. There is a certain freedom to this solitude. Neither credit nor blame goes to any other.
