In the Hunt, Irem. Releases in the arcades in 93’ and ported to Saturn and PlayStation in 95’. Such an interesting game, very Nazca in design for obvious reasons. Plays like a submarine sim/shmup. Your craft is kind of slow, on purpose. Incredible detailed 2d pixel art on display here, with some super natural elements thrown in for good measure. A rare occasion where the PS1 port outshines the Saturn port, for the most part. Highly recommended game, deserves more respect and exposure for sure.
I still feel like I am dreaming. 😲
The first 3 pics are entirely from last night’s wild pick up. All I had to go off of prior to meeting up with this guy, is that he had 6 boxes of games, and he mentioned nintendo 64. When I met up with him I did my best not to look at many of the titles at all, since I love the mystery and tend to over-offer when I start seeing good games. You can always go higher, but it’s a littler harder to go lower on your offer (though the skilled will manage fine😎) I had seen enough to know I wanted them, and could tell he had no attachment to the games. We came to an agreement in the target parking lot and this turned into the pickup that keeps on giving. After the claim sale last night, I noticed there was a drawer on the bottom of that crazy n64 case! Swipe to see what was in it!
The video at the end is me in pure shock/joy discovering the rare banana sleeve, before I even noticed all the cardboard behind it! Even @deerliing knew what that sleeve was! The action set and cib Nes games were from earlier this weekend , as were the PC games. The Dark Eye is actually pretty rare, and unique looking!
Now, if you’ve read this far... you’ll know I’m doing a little give away for those paying attention. Since I got a great deal, I want to give some back to this amazing community. All you have to do is tag a friend on the post, AND say what game you’d like to own out of the lot! That’s it! I will give a game of my choice away to one (or two) lucky winners! Good luck! ————————————————
