The light at this time of year is stunning and reminds me of one of the reasons I relocated to Portugal. The landscape moves me and inspires so much of my life here
The changing of each season brings forth a different element and so as we head into Autumn, soon to become Winter, I'm reminded of the produce I'll soon be cooking, the fires to be lit, the colours and textures that surround my home, and they're beautiful
In time this will be the season when jams, jellies, chutneys and preserves will be made and though I'm pressed for time this year, I know I'll be able to focus on it next year....a lovely gift waiting to happen

💁♀️SO, WHAT EXACTLY DO WE DO?❓ We are a boutique, privately-owned and operated design company, embracing a love of different design styles and taking a collaborative approach to transforming unique and interesting properties into beautiful family homes.
Our homes are designed and built BY families FOR families. As such, functionality, flexibility and the elusive ‘feel factor’ are key drivers in the homes we create.
That’s our day job and primary focus....
And then there’s our side gig!
We also work with select real estate agents, developers and referred individuals to provide services in the following areas: ➕ Property styling & staging ➕ Furniture & interiors sourcing ➕ Interior selections & finishes ➕ Design consultancy & advice
Over the weekend we moved the table away from the wall so we could have dinner guests, and rather than it taking up the entire kitchen and being in the way as we thought it would while the front door is still behind the green door (which will become my pantry when the front door moves), it actually suddenly makes the room feel finished, like a proper family kitchen. My style might be a bit eclectic and not everyone's cup of tea - a bit classic country kitchen, a bit rustic, a bit eclectic - but it is perfectly us, and I love having been able to design and build it completely from scratch (this room was a dark dining room with only one window before). It has meant I could have all the features I really wanted, like a pull out bin cupboard to stop my safe-cracker of a hound from scavenging, dimmer lights over the table for romantic meals a deux (with a toddler, as if 😂), big bookshelves built into the chimney breast for all my cookbooks, a mantle to display my vintage kitchenalia, room for my great-great-Grandpa's Persian rug nicked from my parents' attic a few years ago, and pride of place for my Japanese knife collection. ☺ It's still not finished, but it's feeling like home now.
This is what kitchen dreams are made of. These beautiful images are from the Waterview Queenslander project and feature the french provincial kitchen complete with natural stone quartzite benchtops, ILVE freestanding gas cooker, double ovens and a walk through pantry. This one has clearly been made with love!!
Happy hump day 😊😊 today is a particularly good one for me!! We are eventually getting our grass laid on the back garden... this has been an ongoing project since May.... it’s going to be such a difference having a back garden where kiddies can play!!! And also a movie room where me and the hubby can escape too!!!! Hope everyone has a fabulous day xx #instahome#renovation#renovationproject#nurserydecor#instadaily#instadecor
Simon has been busy making this moulded skirting to match a client's existing boards for a renovation project, once they're fitted they'll be hand decorated on site and be just the finishing touch to make the rooms look great 👍

Oceanside build coming along swimmingly 😎🌊 for @lsarchitects... and all we can say is, views are making this one a #torquay treat! 🙌🏻🌅
Day 2: A meeting with the structural engineer on site and then on with the demolition. Goodbye hideous extension 👋🏽😂The old extension is almost gone and it’s completely changed the look of the house. So much has changed in the last 48 hours!! He looks awfully proud for someone who walked in after all the manual labour was done! 😂
I love that there are so many ways to renovate.
We thoroughly enjoy getting messages asking about how or why we did something. We are also grateful to have others to call on for advice and support.
We haven't seen anyone do walls like this, but there's always a first right? 🤷♀️
