“Digital marketing is always changing and that's so exciting to me. There's never a boring day on the job, really. Most of all, I love seeing my clients succeed...knowing that I helped them get where they are. It's a very rewarding feeling to know that you had a direct impact on someone's business success and livelihood.” - @marissahillx
Snapped a quick photo while we roamed the streets of Houston aimlessly. My favorite part of traveling with Spencer is the unknown, we just do what feels right and make plans but don't get upset if they don't always pan out. There is so much beauty in the mystery of it all. 🚶♀️🚶♂️

Long day. The emails started early and I had meetings all day. Didn't even shower or shave lol. #remotework
As someone who represents primarily entrepreneurs who run their businesses online, I like to mirror the way my clients work. While I do have physical office space, I also have a virtual office that allows me to work a few days a week from home.⠀
This allows me the flexibility to get work done in a way that not only suits my lifestyle, but also still keeps me accessible to my clients in the way they need. I use technology to meet those who aren't in my time zone/state, so it never feels like we miss a beat.⠀
I offer consultations through phone and Skype, so clients rest easy knowing who they're speaking with. It might not be the "traditional" way a lawyer practices, but it serves my clients and me very well. Want to do business differently? Contact me today for a no-cost virtual consult! #howilawyer⠀

After three months working from the kitchen I've finally got myself set up with a proper desk in the spare room. @kevin_1000x helped me move a giant wardrobe like a hero 👌 Feels like such a weight off my shoulders - remote working is great, but it became clear quickly that I really need a designated work space. Working from the kitchen was really ruining my cooking buzz. Couple of tweaks to make, but really delighted to have it all set up 😁

REMINDER: ✨ SUCCESS IS HARDWORK AND IT IS NOT POSTED ON INSTAGRAM. THE 7AM AT THE OFFICE. THE LACK OF SLEEP. THE 4 REJECTION MEETINGS IN ONE DAY. THE COLD COFFEE. THE WORK. ITS NOT ALL WINE, PLANES AND ABS, BABY. ✨
✨ IMPORTANT REMINDER: MOST OF THE SHIT ON HERE IS A HIGHLIGHT / IS EDITED / IS A FACADE / IS NOT THE ENTIRE STORY. ✨

This week and I am so excited because Billy and I are going camping again just the two of us for the first time since our trip to Fraser Island.⠀
Fun Fact: Billy and I learned a lot of lessons on our first camping trip together. The first lesson, do not bring ceramic plates, glass bottles or eggs when four wheel driving. They will shatter and make a huge mess 🙈⠀
We are now loving our bamboo cups and plates from @emilieoconnorhomestore because we know that they won’t break no matter how rugged the terrain is!⠀
The best part, their first collection is in collaboration with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation with 5% of profits helping to “Keep The Reef GREAT!”
This few months we have a bunch of plans made. Some of it was to move and live somewhere else for a while, but we had a change of plan due to a certain situation. We got solo travel plans as well. Working remotely has been wonderful. It gives us so much freedom to change our plans and adjust accordingly. The road so far.. and we still don't know where we are gonna be next year. Keep on pursuing our dreams! #remote#remotework#wfh#travel#traveling#travelingcouple#wanderlust#indonesiantraveler
Do any fellow #digitalnomads relate?
Some days or weeks you’ll have low energy. You have a great new city to explore, but you’d rather stay in the comfort of your Airbnb because you’re just too tired! And that’s ok. Exploring, working and adjusting to a new place takes a toll on you, as it has for me this week. We’re not robots, so we need to allow for downtime. It’s ok to not be constantly exploring. It’s ok to take a day or two, or more if needed to collect your energy and get recharged.
I’ve had low energy all week, and because I’m a pretty structured person, I am sometimes a bit hard on myself when I don’t get as much done as I’d like to or wake up later than I “should”. Last night, I decided to not set my alarm for this morning, so that I could wake up whenever and get the rest I needed. Needless to say, I woke up at noon but now I feel WAY better. Yeah I’m in Milan, but I won’t enjoy it if my mind and body are too foggy to focus on my surroundings. This might have been a #coolstorybro.
Also, #TBT to when Guapo was a puppy and liked sleeping on my pillow.

Just another day chasing our tails at the office #gaiathepup
How far we have come in almost 30 years... we had VHS movies, rental stores and Land lines. We called the telephone the 'phone'. NO Facetime, mobile/cells, Skype or Netflix... Plus we had Dial up internet no high speed or Wifi.
My collegue mentions.. 'I remember in 1990 my friend Joe Negron show me a book "Principles of Artificial Intelligence" by Nils John Nilsson published in 1980. Twenty eight years later here we are (AI) has become more popular thanks to the increased data volumes, advanced algorithms, and improvements in computing power and storage.' via @thezenarchitect
What will come in the next 30 years? ... it's simply mind boggling. 😮😲
"A Home Away From Home"
Considered breaking borders in Arequipa, Peru? Well, a local guy friend of mine would like to help take the worry out of where to live by offering rental of the spare bedroom and sharing of common areas in his new flat which includes internet access, all for just 400 soles (120 USD) per month. .
If you're already there or heading that way soon and interested in renting my friend's space, let me know, and I'll get you connected.
So here’s a tip, never stay at a hotel by town square. We took a mini trip to #guatape and while booking our hotel a few months ago, decided to not stay at the tranquil resort near the rock and stay in town. Yahhhhh bad idea! The party and the dogs eventually stopped around 4am and just as we were about to fall sleep, the church bells decided that everyone should get up at 6am. However, the nice breakfast at the hotel rooftop and the awesome view from top of El Peñon de Guatape totally made up for the lack of sleep. Oh, and we climbed 675 steps to get that view. Easy peasy 😃
Thanks to all the sales people out there making it happen! Nothing happens in this economy until someone sells something, so thank a #salesperson. Technology, consumer goods, equipment, vehicles. Whatever you do in sales, we want to have your skills on pepelwerk! We know you're always looking out for the next opportunity. We're knocking.

If you are a star employee that can't seem to get traction in their company, it's time to create your own career path. Your company has it's own reasons for keeping you in your position. Maybe there aren't any other open positions, they don't have the resources, or they just like the job you do where you are. That doesn't mean it's the right choice for you. If you feel frustrated, take a chance on a new gig. We can help match you to it! Download our app and see how easy we made it.

You only have so many hours in the day. Say "no" relentlessly to anything that holds you back, stunts your growth, or damages your future. Learning to say no to these things, gives you space to say "yes" to learning, growing, and prospering.
I usually don’t post much about work, but this event made me remember how much I miss bartending and serving, and also I really like this picture lol 😊🍻🥂

coffee and code 💪🏻 ➖
There are a few things that I need to have the best coding session:
2. Either a nice view, comfortable area, or the tools I need (screens, mechanical keyboard)
3. Quiet or my headphones, usually playing Spencer Brown
Of course this list isn’t always met and I can get work done without it, but having some basic needs met does wonders for productivity. ➖
What do you need to have the best coding session?

Doing a deep dive into emerging #IoT technologies this week! In-depth research is something I always loved doing as a reporter, so I’m glad it’s still a pretty big part of my job now. Who else enjoys getting lost in internet rabbit holes? 🐰
