On today’s episode of #GetGood at #Drums, Kacey plays a little groove on his expanded practice setup, misses an accent, forgets how to end it, and then just throws in a six stroke roll. #reflexx#practice#weak
This came out of my hands while practicing after work tonight and I freaked out and said “how did I do that??” Just kept messing around with it and here we are an hour later still practicing hoping that I will remember this! It’s not as pretty as I want it to sound though.. sounds even better in my head. #practice#reflexx
⠀ #repost@stanbicknell⠀ • • •⠀ Absolutely loving my home setup. So simple, yet so effective! I always have a pad within arms reach at home, but this is next level. It’s literally all I need to keep myself entertained and pushing forward.
If you’ve been following my page for a while you’ll know how much I love practice pad setups. They are the best! In fact, in the past when I’ve owned E-Kits (Roland, Pearl etc), I mostly used them turned off, preferring the natural pad sound over the need for the sounds and samples on etc.
I’ve always enjoyed these setups. Over the years I’ve owned the DW ‘Go anywhere’ kit multiple times, HQ pad setups, SoundOff pads on the acoustic kit, everything! But in all honesty this @_reflexx_ & @pearl_drums pad combo is my favourite to date. It’s so simple! It takes up next to no space, the pads are ultra quiet, and they absorb natural rebound really well so you have to work for it! I also find this absorption relieves stress on my wrists too, which at my ripe old age of 33 is much appreciated 😂. If you’re someone who feels they can only practice and work on an acoustic kit, do your best to get over it. Enjoying and loving the simplicity of these setups is actually life changing when it comes to pushing forward and working on your craft... 🥊🥊 #reflexx#practicepad#drums#drummers
