The Chicago Villainettes, a social charity group I’ve been a part of for the last two and a half years, are working on a little project and I’m hoping you can help us spread the word and make this dream come true.
Every child deserves to feel special on their birthday, right? It is the one day each year where they are specifically celebrated and showered with love. For children in foster care, birthdays can be a challenge. While many foster families go above and beyond to ensure these children feel like members of their family, it can create a complicated mixture of emotions for the kids, and can be difficult for them to really feel loved in their situation.
With the help Together We Rise, a non-profit organization aimed at transforming the lives of children in foster care for the better, we are hoping to raise $800, enough money to fund and create 40 Birthday Boxes.
What is a “Birthday Box” you ask? Each Birthday Box delivered to a child in foster care includes lots of materials they would need to throw a birthday party! These items include tissue paper, a crown, noise makers, a blow horn, a birthday banner, a birthday card, stickers, candles, candy, 5 party poppers, 5 balloons and a gift card for ice cream!
We are responsible for raising the funds, then Together We Rise ships the materials to us, we construct and decorate the boxes, filling them with the goodies and lots of love. Then we send the completed boxes back to Together We Rise where they are delivered to kids in need.
Our initial goal is to raise enough money to provide Birthday Boxes for 40 foster children, but we need your help! Every dollar raised will help us bring joy to the faces of children who have gone through so much in their lives at such a young age. We hope you will consider making a donation and helping us make this dream a reality because…together, we CAN make a difference!
This week for #williamssyndromewednesday we have Finn! Big thanks to Jo for sending this in.
Hi my name is Finn. I am 9 and I live with my mum and dad and big sister, who is 11. I have 2 cats called Ghana and Coco. I like playing soccer, going to the beach, skateboarding and kapa haka. Every Monday night I watch Kapa Haka on Maori television.
I LOVE emergency vehicles and when I grow up I want to be a policeman. Next week I am doing the Weetbix Tryathlon in a team with my friend William. This is the third time I have completed the triathlon and my favourite part is getting the medal at the end!
I spread joy wherever I go as I am so friendly and excited to meet people (and their animals) and I love waving and saying “hello” to everyone I see.
Parents please teach your children kindness and acceptance of people's differences.
I’ve neglected this page a fair bit lately as life has just been so busy but I’m jumping back on and what better way to start back then with a bit of a rant because I know most of you lovely ladies will understand where I’m coming from.
This is the face of Endometriosis..
This is the face of a girl who struggled through her school and teenage years.
This is the face of a young woman who was finally taken seriously and was diagnosed at the age of of 23.
This is the face of a women who struggles with fertility issues.
This is the face of a mother who physically could not take care of her child today because of Endometriosis.
This is my face after crying the whole way home after dropping my daughter at her grandparents for the rest of the day.
The entire drive there my daughter kept saying “Poor Mummy” “Mummy is sick”. It completely broke my heart. 😔

Accepting yourself is so important. Being critical of yourself at every turn will only lead to an unhappy you and an unhappy life. Learn to look beyond your perceived faults by really cultivating what makes you, you. Do what makes you shine inside, what makes you feel great about yourself. For me, that means drawing/painting, lifting weights and writing. What helps you feel great about yourself?
This original poem is a representation of some of the symptoms of the depression we the owners of this account have. Please feel free to send us anything you feel like sharing with us and we will do everything we can to help. We will be posting poems throughout the week to help share our story with others.
Okay I am sooo tired 💤 like crazy. I finally went to the DBT group and I’m almost positive I fell asleep a few times.... then I just started sketching to stay awake 😂.... well my huge anxiety about group came and went! It’s over with... until next time... 😈
Meal plan wise I am doing 💯 plus- which is FREAKING me out every time I see myself I can tell I have gained more weight, and no it’s not dysmorphic, now I just look chubby- I hate chubby. It holds so much power over me it’s crazy making.
However I kicked ass this week so drum roll please 🥁 NO INPATIENT!!! Hell yeah!!! Go me!! I still have the chance to go to the wedding be with my siblings. I am so excited. My mom is trying to nix my trip with three friends in Connecticut which I a really upset about. This always happens she makes it seem like I am asking for the moon.. and that I am crazy absurd to thin I can do anything. It is rough because I always am caving on their end... I missed two weddings an engagement party moving out and some other big things. It’s just frustrating that they never recognize any of that. Anyways.... idk what to do!

Yes today is scary especially with my body weight food and everything else going on.... keep sending me dms or tells because I need to stay mentally occupied because I need to stay well until Thursday!

Today's question is:
What is your 'Life' WORTH to you?
If you are someone who has dedicated all the years that you have lived thus far on Earth to Fear; then I am sure that this is the dominant FEELING that you are currently experiencing today.
So, has it been 'worth' it? Meaning, what has living in 'FEAR' cost you?
In other words; has living in fear de-VALUED your life?
If only for a second we could stop and appreciate REAL life and 'sense' the fact that we are 'ALIVE'--LIFE itself would truly FEEL so much better!
We must realize that FEAR deadens our senses from authentically Loving and Valuing Life.
(If @ lying_beliefs speaks to the Spirit of who you are-then please comment and share. One Love💖)
Always good to see news outlets covering the important topic of food allergy bullying. @6abc
"Food allergy bullying is a growing problem in schools. About a third of kids with food allergies report being bullied because of them. Bullies may use foods, like peanuts or peanut butter, to threaten or taunt a child.
The victims often don't report it to their parents, so doctors say parents have to be on alert for warning signs. The signs could include sudden changes in behavior, or being sad, upset, or withdrawn about going to school.
"If they really just a have a real aversion to wanting to go to school, you want to get to the bottom of it," says Dr. Sandra Hong from the Cleveland Clinic."

Cheers everyone to national #MRKH day! It's a ROKITANSKY road. We are 1 in 5000 females worldwide.
What a journey it has been so far. I'm on an emotional rollercoaster of wanting to advocate MRKH whilst building my own confidence with it everyday. I am proud of my story. I used to avoid conversations but now I WANT to talk about it. I'm proud of all of us. We aren't weird or incomplete or abnornal we are strong and wonderful women. But we may need emotional support to get us through this, there's no doubt it's hard to cope with and that's ok. Connecting with so many beautiful MRKH girls around the world who truly understand and who lift eachother up is so important. Maybe there's a reason I was born with no womb- to prove to the world we are NO LESS! We will continue to empower eachother for generations to come. The movement of breaking the silence is truly BEAUTIFUL. And we will continue to fight to normalise conversations and for what is fair. More exciting things to come for the MRKH world, we are in this together! I have a little project underway too watch this space 🤗
happy birthday to Rokitansky (one of the doctors who discovered MRKH!)

Having this run in my family I know and understand what Huntingdon disease is, but yet so many people out in the world have never heard of it. With #rareillness day coming up I will be sure to share and post articles like this to raise awareness of this horrible illness and what it does to people and Thier families.
What is Huntington's disease? Huntington’s disease is an illness caused by a faulty gene in a person's DNA. Huntington’s can cause changes with movement, learning, thinking and emotions. Once symptoms begin, the disease gradually progresses, so living with it means having to adapt to change, taking one day at a time. With #RareDiseaseDay fast approaching we are trying to Shine A Light On Huntington's. Share this post far and wide with the tag #RareReality and mention @hdauk to spread the word on Huntington's disease. Do something great today! Most of Thailand’s palm oil is grown in the southern part of the country. In one protected area, called Pru Kaching. Reports from @mongabay suggest the government is trying to reclaim land from palm oil growers, but complicating factors have mired the effort. Thailand’s oil palm industry in the period 2017-2019 is expected to see ongoing growth as a result of higher domestic demand for palm oil, especially for using as raw materials for biodiesel industry.

I’m having a subdued evening tonight - works been so hectic I’m feeling pretty run down. I haven’t talked about this for a while, but I am very paranoid that my Psoriatic Arthritis is getting worse. I am going to compose a blog post soon but unfortunately my wrist/thumb seems to be stiffening and I’m finding a few activities (holding pans, writing, forks, typing) difficult so I’m currently learning to use my left hand a lot more. My skins worsened to the point my right ear bled today and I went dizzy (sexy, I know) but this is the reality of this condition in my life. Maybe I’m just being paranoid, but the thought of being a makeup artist with one hand and a tremor is pretty nerve racking.
I still want to raise awareness of this condition and as my instagram platform is growing, I want to share more with you and help through my personal experiences and what I do to cope.
Sharing your journey journey can be nerve racking, but you don’t have to go through anything alone 🥰

#HUMANITY ❤️ This woman in picture with a police man is Helena from USA. She was caught stealing in the supermarket and the police was called to arrest her.
The surprise of all is when the policeman arrived at the scene and asked her what she stole, she said, "Five Eggs To Feed My Hungry Children." The police officer took her back to the supermarket and bought her foodstuffs to feed herself and her kids.
Miss Helena started crying and asked the police officer, "Sir this is too much you have done for me.." The police officer replied, "Sometimes we shouldn't apply the law but must apply the humanity!"😍 @healing__humanity❤️
