Have you found a special book lately? Show us and tag #booksonaquilt because I love a good find!
I nabbed this Freddy Moran book today and am enjoying her carefree attitude to colour: “10 colours don’t work, but 100 do!”. I’ve always love her work, but even more so after listening to her podcast interview on @craftyplanner. Oh man the way she talks about quilting gives me all the heart eyes 😻 you should definitely do yourself a favour and give it a listen.
Now that this beauty has been gifted, I can finally share it! This is my last make of 2018 and first finish of 2019. My Aunt Karen is going to start chemo soon (prayers appreciated!), so the hubbs and I decided she needed a cozy quilt for her appointments. Nothing is better than being wrapped up in a quilt full of love. 💚
Being a #seahawks fan, blue and lime green were in order. The back is Seahawks blizzard fleece. I ended up still using batting and I am glad I did. It would have been too thin without it. This is the most comfortable quilt ever!
Pattern is by @emily_dennis_ And is called #crosstilequilt . This was such a fun and easy pattern to make. I suggest you all run and get it right now!!! I can’t wait to make another one!
Swipe 👉 to see more! 💚💙
Happy 13 months baby! I finally finished your quilt. Only took a year. But... 6 WIPs done and I'm feeling pretty good. Time to start a (few) new quilts! 💚

Today the prompt was something Vital or Mandatory⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
More than tools of the trade, my sewing items are the core of my creative soul. Starting in about 4th grade I hand stitched Barbie clothing, taught myself to crochet, made shoe box dioramas, and did embroidery. Over the years I’ve done most crafts from tole painting, to rug hooking to stained glass. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Through it all I had a sewing machine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I made clothing and home dec items until I discovered quiltmaking. Which 'leveled up' my creativity a few notches. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now days my vital are excellent tools, with a dash of chocolate and a yummy coffee. @olfacreates ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @aurifilthread@babylocksewing and My newest book from @martingaletpp⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ is out in March and you can preorder from your favorite quilt shop or at ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
