I love doggy daycare and so does my mom because I sleep for hours on the couch after I come home 💤

An incredible test of physical and mental endurance consisting of; 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bicycle ride and a marathon 26.22 mile run
About 6 years ago my Mom was signed up for a marathon to raise money for a cause she believed in. Two weeks before the race she injured her knee and was unable to participate. I decided I would fill in for her so her voice was still heard.
I've never been into running or long distance races and had never run more than 6-7 miles in my life. The race was brutal, but I got through it - my Dad had to actually carry me into and out of the car. After I got home and reflected for a bit, I decided that I kind of enjoyed it. The very next day I registered for my first Ironman Triathlon Event. I didn't own a bike, didn't "really" know how to swim and it was four months away. .
Since then, Ironman has become part of who I am. On October 14th I will be participating in my next Ironman Challenge sponsoring all the dogs of AHWF. Not only am I taking on this physical challenge but I am making it my mission to be a voice for the voiceless. .
