✔️For a lifter with the main goal of maximizing muscle growth, increasing training volume should be the primary focus. While intensity and effort are also important factors of muscle growth. It’s important to remember that increases in volume generally include these factors, as long as the lifter is taking sets close enough to failure.
✔️My suggestion would be to not look at just the total volume (reps x sets x load) of one training session but to look at each micro-cycle and the program as a whole.
✔️To break it down may be doing 4 sets x 6 reps on the bench 3 times a week could be more effective than doing 3 sets x 10 reps on the bench twice a week. All this would depend on your level of experience
✔️You want to progress on the minimum volume that you want to make progress on - A session of high volume could be so muscle damaging that it could require more time to recover hence dropping the muscle training frequency

One of my favorite breakfasts lately has been my protein shakes!!!! They fill me up so much if I drink a liter of water with them 🥳 and taste like a milkshake!!!
Meal details: add 2 scoops of @questnutrition in a shaker bottle, mixed with water and some almond milk (not featured), and for preferences I add some oats for creaminess!!

This year for the work #thanksgivingpotluck, I made #pumpkinbread! But not just your regular pumpkin bread, I made it with @usanainc#proteinpowder!
I took a regular pumpkin quick bread recipe and made a few adjustments and substitutions to try and make it just a tad bit healthier. I substituted half the flour with protein powder, only used 1/3 of the sugar, and replaced the vegetable oil with olive oil.
I am super pleased with the results as we munch on some for breakfast and PJ loves it! The things you can make with protein powder! Just a few healthy substitutions can go a long way!

Cutting out a lot of meat from my diet means my protein intake is lower than usual, which is why I try to get in protein shakes after my workouts to up my intake through the day. As I don’t eat dairy either I can’t use whey protein so vegan protein it is 🌱 I’ve tried a few vegan proteins, some being huge brands! But they all honestly, tasted like earth 🍂 one which I had to sieve before I could choke it down 🥴HOWEVER, my gym stock this vegan protein from @scitec_uk which I tried and I 👏🏼 WILL 👏🏼 NEVER 👏🏼 LOOK 👏🏼 BACK 🔥
IT TASTE LIKE BROWNIE BATTER 💛 And not vegan brownie batter, actual brownie batter 🍫 and the macros and ingredients are amazing 🕺🏼 not full of soy protein, which isn’t too good in large amounts, especially for women.

Trying out some new protein powder starting today! My boyfriend has made so many comments about how I’m not incorporating enough protein in my diet. So I figured I would give this a try! After hitting the gym this morning for our 5am workout and doing 3.5 miles on the elliptical I just wanted a light breakfast. So I made a smoothie. I used the protein powder, 1 banana, handful of shredded carrots, dragon fruit, and a spoonful of organic vanilla yogurt. Omg this is my absolute favorite!! It tastes soooo good! The powder didn’t make it taste gritty or anything! It was a great light breakfast after my workout. I’m excited to keep using this and see how it works! #Happymonday 💙

Protein is an essential macronutrient (& my favorite 😏) that serves many functions in the body. The simplest way to increase your protein intake is to eat more high-protein foods. That being said, not all high-protein foods are equal. Some of them are extremely high, almost nothing but protein and water.
1. Chicken Breast 🐔 very popular source of protein & is also a great source of B-vitamins and minerals.
2. Tilapia 🐠 it has a lot of protein, at about 81% of calories. It also contains B-vitamins and minerals such as selenium and phosphorus.
3. Egg Whites 🥚 mostly consist of water and protein. About 91% of calories in egg whites are from protein. Super simple and very time efficient when cooking.
4. Turkey Breast 🦃 is a low-calorie source of protein, at about 95% of calories. It also contains B-vitamins and minerals such as selenium and zinc.
5. Shrimp 🍤 great source of protein, at 82% of calories. They also contain vitamins, minerals and beneficial antioxidants.
6. Tuna 🐟 is one of the leanest kinds of fish. It provides 20 grams of protein in a 3.5-ounce serving, but is very low calories. Literally the cheapest you can get! No excuses but to get your protein in!
