READY FOR TAKEOFF ✈ We have some AMAZING guests lined up for you friendships and we can't wait to share some BTS as we head to LA next week☀🌴 WHO DO YOU THINK WE ARE INTERVIEWING!? 😱 #whatdayisitpodcast
Thanks to @davidriddle for pointing out this gem! A great plane to analyze, with an interesting back story.
It’s a Bombardier CRJ 200 regional airliner with a retrofitted executive interior. This exact aircraft was manufactured in 2003 and was previously used in regional commercial flights. Once it had too many hours to continue to be cost effective in commercial due to increasing maintenance demands (~15k hours), it was sold to a charter company who put in the “Execliner Shuttle” interior conversion — double club seating all the way through the cabin.
It’s the classic way a charter broker gets celebrities into an aged aircraft. To an untrained eye it is indistinguishable from a Gulfstream or a Global Express... but it’s really on its last legs.
Costs about $1-2m to purchase and another $1m for the remodel. Charter costs are not readily available online, but probably in the $6,000/hr range.
The Challenger 850 and the CRJ 200 are the same aircraft: one comes with the executive interior from the factory for business/private aviation and one is configured for commercial use. The CRJ 200 regional jet would hold about 50 commercial pax. Corporations like Intel would get the business version and operate it like a shuttle. Everyone had equal seating (no couch or individual seats) and the aircraft would hop back and forth between hubs, such as between LA to San Jose. It’s also a common way for bands to go on North American tours, where they need to move a lot of people a short distance. The planes are slow and not designed to fly cross country.
As this short-hop, egalitarian flying became popular, charter companies started bringing them into their fleets. They soon realized they could purchase an old and worn regional commercial jet and put 💄 on the 🐷 to make it appear like the business version. Much less costly and they can charge the same hourly rate. .
This is not to say it’s unsafe. It’s a good way to charter for 20 people. Just not as fancy as it appears.
Not that Kaavia seems to care.

I pray you meet a partner that sparks your fire, that meets your level of ambition and runs with you. That pushes you to greater. I pray they see the incompatibility in you as the perfect power to strengthen each other’s weaknesses. I pray you love and respect each other from the maturity you’ve grown in yourself. And instead of codependency, there’s independence in your teamwork.
I love watching this man speak. He has so much power and passion bleeding out of his heart. His goal is always to empower and add value. He accomplishes it every time. I love seeing him live up to his potential and raising his capacity lid consistently. I love seeing the leader he is becoming through all of his self development.
Above it all I love seeing the behind the scenes. The fight when no ones looking. The studying. The training. The work. The practice before the play. I love seeing him work through his struggle. Putting games down and picking up a book. Turn mainstream music off and turning on a podcast. Getting off the couch and work up a sweat. I love seeing him fix things when my ditsy mind couldn’t figure out any solutions. I love his grind. His mind.
I love being his helpmeet. His queen on the chessboard. He says I am powerful, like the neck that turns the head. He says my fight keeps our kingdom alive. He has no idea how powerful he is.
So when you meet your king, I hope he’s able to get on one knee and say, “baby girl, you’ll never have to worry about money for the rest of your life”
A friend sent me a very powerful video by @snoopdogg yesterday.
And as I was meditating on the Appreciation course this morning with @headspace, the question to keep in mind was, who or what do you appreciate the most in your life?
My third eye chakra humbly pictured... myself.
See if I were to ask you to make a list of everything and everyone you love, how long would it take you to write yourself?
Today I want to give a little self love.
I want to have a heart of gratitude daily and today I’m going to thank the queen inside me.
Thank you for believing in me.
Thank you for never giving up, even when you felt so strongly to do so.
Thank you for getting back up each time you fell.
Thank you for turning the other cheek when you got hit.
Thank you for putting in the hard work.
Thank you for being accountable to the promises you made me.
Thank you for not hardening up when your heart broke.
Thank you for smiling back at me.
Thank you for continuing even when others judged you.
Thank you for learning how to be the real you.
Thank you for forgiving me.
Thank you for taking care of my health and watering me.
Thank you for quitting your unhealthy addictions.
Thank you for doing right even when wrong felt so much easier.
Thank you for getting out of your comfort zone.
Thank you for choosing future needs over present wants. Future purpose over present pleasure.
Thank you for becoming better instead of bitter.
Thank you for growing yourself so you can help others.
Thank you for being a giver.
Thank you for reminding yourself that you’re a helpmeet.
Thank you for allowing God to use you.
Thank you for biting your tongue to moments of criticism, condemning, and complaining.
Thank you for intentionality being an encourager, edifyer, and an uplifter.
Thank you for helping other women see the queen in them.
Thank you for focusing on your strengths instead of your weakness, because we all know how easy it is to fall into mediocrity.
Thank you for focusing on progress instead of perfection.
Thank you for striving for excellence.
Thanks you for having the strength to pick up your pen and writing your own story.
Thank you for creating a legacy.
• Welcome aboard Aviators! 🛩 Over the last few months I’ve received so many emails, messages, and DM’s asking me to share more details about my job.
I entered the world of Corporate Aviation in 2017. It has been my passion ever since, and I enjoy helping others who are passionate about it as well. Unfortunately this industry is a very private one, and finding helpful, reliable information on the internet is hard to come by. Many people ask me questions like, how did you get your job? How many days do you work? Who do you fly? How do you get started in the Corporate side of Aviation?
First, It is a very complex and competitive industry to break into. Unlike commercial airlines, Corporate Aviation requires us to have FAA training completed before even being considered with their companies. Unlike commercial airlines, you cannot simply apply with none of these certifications already under your belt. However, I’ve recently teamed up with VVIP INTERNATIONAL, one of the few training courses that will teach you all the skills necessary to become a successful Corporate FA. With their World renowned training, you will learn everything there is to know about not only the exquisite service aspects, but also the safety measures required by the FAA to become a Flight Attendant aboard Private Jets. The best part is that unlike commercial airlines who’s training process is very lengthy, most Corporate FA training can be completed in as little as one week. Imagine starting a new, exciting career in only one week 🛫
