Confession: I wasn’t really into MCR when they were big. I wasn’t really INto music in general during middle and highschool, just causally listen to stuff. Tbh I thought MCR were terrifying. I remember in 7th grade when “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge,” came out, they looked so scary to me with their black clothes and their screaming. Even tho, I was trying to be “emo/goth/punk” whatever at that time, I thought they were like satanic band tbh. Lol I was a total “poser” and feared if I even met them (or anyone like them), they could see through my lies and call me a “poser!!!” Dude, I was too scared to even shop at Hot Topic (before whatever it is today) and brought my “emo” stuff at Claire’s and Macy’s. Yes, Claire’s used to have a little “emo” section when it was big.
I did buy the cd “The Black parade” in 9th grade and listened to it while I walked to school but I always skip the song “Mama” (which ironically is my favorite song now) because it sounded like a devil song to me. It lowkey scared me, not as bad in 7th grade but still scared me. “Teenagers” was my favorite song because hahahaha I was a teenager lol okay you edgy angsty bitch.
I was a junior in college when MCR broke up in 2013, I didn’t even know they broke up tbh because again I was just a casual fan.
It wasn’t until 2017....I guess when I was being nostalgic and shit on tumblr, I went back to listened to their music, then interviews, pictures and ahhhhhhh now a full blow obsession. I did the same thing with Panic! At the Disco lol listened to it in highschool and my nostalgic adult self is like “hi” in 2015 but that was worst since Panic! doesn’t even have their original band members now 😭😭😭 yes I’m a Ryan Ross whiny bitch!!!!!!! ArGh I’m sorry but their first album will always be the best sndkdjrjrjdjrjdjrjejejenejerjjr
Oh hi sorry I was talking about MCR, not Brendon! At the Disco.
Anyways, I love MCR’s lyrics, the imagery, the aesthetic and Gerard’s screaming!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh🖤
