33 feels like this: a river with a calm but strong flow where everything changes but all is on the right track. Happy birthday to me 😊🎈

We decided to rent a car for our remaining time on the Portuguese mainland outside of Lisbon. A car was not needed in Lisbon. ***Super big tip! We rented from Sixt Rental Car at Lisbon Airport (they have 24hr drop off)—BUT try to pick your car up between 6 am and 7:30 am. This is BEFORE the Transatlantic and Euro morning flights arrive. There is a small hall where most of the rental car companies are located at the airport. Once the morning flights arrive -the hall is literally jam-packed with wall to wall people who all have car reservations but now have to wait as long as two hours to see an agent first. The Sixt people said we were smart to come early! No one was there!

But almost immediately after the course began Donald Trump was elected President of the United States and there was nothing scientific about that, nor was there anything to really compare it to. I remember waking up groggy eyed on an hour of sleep after the calamity, downing a bottle of merlot in my pajamas and deciding that the only way to live life in such a lunatic world was to do some crazy things myself.//
