There's not much better than some runny #yolk. Believe it or not, but you can get in on the action and make your own runny poached eggs at home. The best part is it's riduculously easy and so quick to make.

Poached and popovers! I use to have a real hard time making poached eggs; they never came out right. They were loose and falling apart in the pan turning the water a milky, cloudy mess. All while I heard @gordongram voice in my head yell how it “looks like sh!t!” These passed couple of days I’ve made them with a huge success! Firm yet soft, golden yoke runny all over the plate. The pan mostly clear with a few straggly pieces of egg. If I remember correctly, @juliachildfoundation always said your eggs have to be fresh. Well, considering these eggs were laid this morning, it doesn’t get fresher than that! 🙌🐓🥚 These beautiful #popovers we’re made by my daughter and are so delicious! I’ve been talking about various diets with a few pals and colleagues lately and a couple have asked for some ideas of what to take to work/lectures when you’re “trying to be good”. It legit makes me so sad when I see people cutting out full on food groups and eating a massively restrictive diet made up of pretty much just fruit and veg. That shit ain’t sustainable and it sure ain’t fun.
Exactly what I need to eat is gonna to be different from what the next person needs to eat cos obviously we’re all wonderfully different people, but hopefully here’s a bito inspo to prove that no one needs to be eating like an actual rabbit and without the foods they love to be “healthy”. S/o to my dog for standing on my background while taking a pic 🐾 and to @igluumealprep for sorting me out once again for a day at the office.
BREAKFAST: overnight oats - 55g GF oats, 150g @alpro unsweetened yog, 1 scoop @myproteinuk vanilla impact whey isolate, 1 tsp ground flaxseeds, stewed plums (I chopped up two plums and popped them in the micro with a dash of water and a drop of elderflower cordial, cooked on high for 90 seconds). SNACK 1 (not pictured lol soz): decaf coffee with almond milk and a @saykallo dark chocolate thin, a pear drop that I almost choked on and ended up swallowing whole 🙃 so naturally had to have another so I could actually enjoy it
LUNCH: 3 poached eggs, sautéed broccoli, homemade BBQ beans (recipe posted a few days ago), banana
SNACK 2: veggie jerky, @pulsinhq caramel choc & peanut protein booster (which is SO good, kinda like peanut butter cookie dough 😍). DINNER: @nodoughpizzaco with extra toms, mushrooms, 3 sliced sundried tomatoes & a grated babybel
SNACK 3: hot chocolate protein shake with a few @freeist_sugar_free marshmallows (I took this to work in case of emergency hunger, but didn’t drink it so I had it post gym as a hot choc instead), a leftover @hotelchocolat Christmas tree
Not very glamorous looking but super tasty 🤩 This egg cooker is seriously saving my life rn with being able to make poached, hard medium or soft boiled eggs 🥚. It’s super tiny and really dorm friendly (plus it was only $13 on @amazon ). My newest creation has been on repeat the first couple days back for breakfast and will probably be on repeat most of this semester 😂😂 1 poached egg, 1/2 avocado 🥑 mashed on a @lundbergfarms rice cake with @traderjoes everything but the bagel seasoning. I also had some berries and yogurt after this because I was craving something sweet😊😊 Trying to make meals in my dorm room really makes me miss my kitchen but hey ya make it work👏💁🏼♀️ #eggcooker#abbleseats
Te gusta el huevo pochado pero no sabes como prepararlo? O no te resulta? Acá les enseño como lo hago yo, es súper sencillo!! Así es que espero les guste:
1.- Escoge un recipiente donde puedas darle la forma al huevo, como un molde de cupcake, un vaso o una taza.
2.- Cubre el recipiente con plast film y esparce un poco de aceite de oliva (para que el huevo no se pegue)
3.- Coloca el huevo sobre el plast film
4.- Cubre todo el huevo con el plástico y ciérralo bien para que no se salga.
5.- Pon el huevo dentro de una olla que tenga agua a punto de ebullición y déjalo durante 4 a 6 min (depende del punto de tu preferencia)
6.- Retira el huevo del agua y espera a que de enfríe un poco
7.- Corta la parte superior del plástico
