It’s been 15 years since my favourite show One Tree Hill aired. I still watch it to this day, the quotes are timeless and it will always have a special place in my life. My thoughts are with those affected by the hurricane. Below is one of my favourite poems from a heartbreaking scene. -
- “Does this darkness have a name? This cruelty this hatred. How did it find us, did it steal into our lives or did we seek it out and embrace it? What happened to us that we now send our children into the world like we send young men to war, hoping for their safe return but knowing some will be lost along the way. When did we lose our way? Consumed by the shadows swallowed whole by the darkness. Does this darkness have a name...is it your name?”
Sadly my Aeonium tabuliformes were among the plants that got frost damage in the greenhouse, so this one doesn't look quite as lovely anymore, but she'll survive.
In the second photo 👉 you can see the other tabuliforme, which got damaged very badly. I'd read that when the apical bud is killed on this species, it forces offsets lower down. So I pulled off a lot of the top leaves. And sure enough, if you look closely, you can see little tiny pups in a ring around its bald head 😀
Happy Monday, everyone!

The Palm house in Copenhagen’s Botanical Gardens is INSANE. I could and did walk around for hours. It’s so beautiful with some of the biggest plants I’ve ever seen 🌵think I’m going to be forever dreaming of this place. I will be posting more pictures later! • • • •

Whilst I’m super happy to be welcoming the cooler climates and stunning colours of autumn 🍂 I’ll be missing the lazy, hazy days of this summer past. Watching, for the first time, my mums garden grow and develop into a wonderfully colourful and fragrant jungle. But that’s the wonder and pleasures of gardens, what dies will only come back in the summer and I for one can’t wait for what winter brings ❤️• • • •
