Please welcome, my new addition philodendron lemon-lime from @portlandnursery. I'm just obsessed with the heart leafs and all the different greens. Care for this baby: •
Light: medium indirect light but can tolerate low light.
Water: allow potting mix to dry out completely before watering.
Humidity: any humidity levels will do.

Happy Easter for those who celebrate. This is our little replica of the garden tomb my kids and I like to make each year. It is a reminder to us that—
. “He is not here for He has risen!”
Christ died for us so that we may live again. ❤️🌱❤️ This brings peace to my heart and hope during both the good and difficult times in my own life. .
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.🌱

- Slowly but surely -
I always thought i have no green fingers. It all started with mini succulents and coleus.
Well i did sent quite abit of my plants to heaven.
I was determined to keep them alive thus i try again.
How do i get the confident in keeping so many plants?
I would say that it is important to study & understand the plant u bring home. And for me , READING is key and of course some helpful tips from plant experts.
Where do i normally get my plants? I normally have my go-to plant sellers and selected nurseries.
If you ask me, I DON’T like buying plants from people who don’t know what they are selling (lack of plant knowledge), might as well buy from foreign workers in the nurseries. I support sellers that propagate their own plants as they know what they are doing & provide good foundation for the plants before selling them off.
Whatever it is, do your Homework. ~have a good week ahead~
as springtime settles in, @michael.tennant4 jokes that these green spirals are like yogis slooowly uncurling one vertebrae at a time ~ hehe we love all the charming little plants in our gardens and the yogi students that are blossoming into fullness just like them...soon they will be spreading their pure seeds to gardens all over the world 🙌🏼 photo by @marc.tran
I have this Begonia 'Escargot' for about half a year now and it doesn't grow fast but also not slow. However, it does sometimes grow leaves on really long petioles which makes the plant look quite unattractive, so I trim these leaves to keep the plant compact. These trimmed leaves can also be used for propagation.
Sometimes, the plant also grows these really weird leaves that are completely messed up like the one on the right of this picture... #begonia#begoniabrigade#begoniarex#begoniaescargot#colorfulplants#colorful#propagation#pattern#hairyplant
Exactly one month ago, I posted a picture of the leaf cutting that I was propagating (probably Begonia 'black mamba' or 'dark mambo' ). Look how it grew and how it's new leaves are getting darker (but I also took this photo with better lighting) . This is a rex hybrid that should grow pretty well under room conditions and has really dark, almost black leaves.
