A la Ronde, the cool sixteen-sided house built for two spinster cousins, Jane and Mary Parminter, on their return from a grand tour of Europe in the late 18th century. Designed by women, for women and handed down by Will to the women of the family.
The interior decoration includes a feather frieze, gathered from native game birds and chickens and a shell-encrusted gallery, containing nearly 25,000 shells... Well worth a coffee stop, not just for having a wander around this amazing house, but also the view of Exmouth and the River Exe #alaronde#nationaltrust#devon#placestovisit placestoseebeforeyoudie #maybe
The light that inspires you is a reflection of the light inside of you.
The flame that grows as you find your flow. -
The light that shines through when you are pursuing your passion or following your curiosity.
My light shines brightest with my camera in hand or when I’m helping another live their best adventure.
Those are the things that set my soul on fire. What’s sets your soul on fire?
It’s that time of year again to spend time on the Potomac! When you book our “Set Sail” package, it includes overnight accommodations in a king water-view room, a two-hour private sailing lesson at nearby Belle Haven Marina, two glasses of sparkling Virginia wine and a half dozen oysters at James Beard Award nominee chef Cathal Armstrong’s Hummingbird restaurant. Apologies for disappearing for a bit. We were off the grid hiking the Ausangate trek in Peru.
It was one of the most amazing and challenging adventures we have had, including: climbing passes at 5000m, being horribly sick, seeing and experiencing some of the most amazing sights of the Andes.
We are back in Cusco after completing our trek a day early, and we are happy for our unexpected rest day. Here is an iPhone shot of our last morning waking up to the majestic Ausangate mountain!
Happy Monday, everyone! I hope that you all had a great weekend. We headed to Philly this weekend for a belated birthday trip. The forecast called for scattered thunderstorms, but we were greeted with warm weather and sunshine 🌞 it was perfect for our plan to had over to @phillymagicgardens. What an amazing space! It was started by Isaiah Zagar in 1994 and is preserved by the community today. It’s a space for inspiration, creativity, and originality.
I guess if I had a driving license and a car each Sunday it would look like this when coming from Columbia Road Flower Market.
How is your weekend going, mine is just divine... 😇
