Yesterday was this little doofus' 2nd birthday we had a blast (though i didnt get any pics). I can remember getting her on December 9th 2016 like it was yesterday she was so tiny she could literally fit in the palm of my hand she was just 7 weeks old and already off to a pretty rough start with being ate up with fleas and tape worms it took 3 vet visits to get rid of the worms completely but she pulled through and now I have one of the most spoiled rotten alian dog creaters of all time ever. She's my little weirdo that I get to experience a great life with and that I am very thankful for I will end by saying we have had such a wonderful time together and hope many more times are among us 👽. #pitbull#pitbullmix#americanpitbullterrier#pit#pitbullofinstagram#pitsofinsta#birthday#4th#celebrate
now that she has an acre and a half of dirt to run around on she gets home extra tired and extra dirty. But as long as shes happy i couldnt care less about her being dirty.

♦️ A stranger texted me and said she desperately needed to get rid of her dog. She had only had him for 24 hours and it wasn’t working out, she said, because he didn’t get along with cats. He also wasn’t housebroken and was very rambunctious, so her husband wanted him out by the end of the day. I asked where she got the dog and as it turns out, she had made the spontaneous decision to take him in when she heard he was about to get shot and killed by the previous owner, who was, by the way, not nearly the first. I told the woman to give me more time as I don’t usually keep a backup plan in my pocket for strangers who won’t keep their dogs, but she refused because her husband had ordered for the dog to go back to where he was going to be shot. She was also unable to transport him and she lived many hours from me.
♦️ Of course I thought about just saying no and get on with my life. After all, this wasn’t my problem, and she - the bloody owner - wasn’t about to help out much, and who am I, Mother Teresa? 🤨🧕🏻
But there was something about her plea that stuck with me. She was genuine. She had taken in the dog so that he wouldn’t die at the hands of cold-blooded people, and she probably would have offered to do more if it was in her. Besides, it wasn’t the dog’s fault and he was already neutered and good with other dogs and kids. ”Sure”, I told her. ”Give me a second and I’ll let you know”.
♦️ Within an hour he had someone pledging to pick him up for me. They drove for 3 hours to go and get him, and then 3 hours back home again. They offered to help as soon as they saw me looking, and they committed to keeping him for a few days and give me time to relocate him. A sigh of quick relief, finally!
♦️ Fortunately, those days were enough to make them fall head over heels with this guy, and give him a permanent home! He has always been housebroken there, and these people understand that a “teenage” dog usually is a handful, which is normal.
Recently I met him for the first time and I loved him right away! His human is now a student of mine so we’ll be seeing more of each other in the coming months.
♦️ Another one saved, no thanks to the breeder. 🤷🏻♀️
