Will be vanished once the paint cures.
My first attempt at painting an animal and folds in fabric.
After a hard 3-4 weeks working on this for hours most days I am quietly proud of completing it just in time to be gifted as a birthday present.
This was the most challenging painting I have undertaken thus far and has left me physically and mentally exhausted.
There were many times when I felt like abandoning this project due to things not going the way I wanted and due to the frustration. In fact I did decide to give up on one occassion but am glad I decided to keep going. I sought and received help and suggestions from other artists over a Facebook group for artists and dug deep to get there in the end. This project taught me a lot about painting and about myself and my potential. Can it be better? Of course but I am out of time. I can't wait to varnish it and give it to its new owner.
Photo vs Drawing 😀
I was trying to post my photos in marketplace on Facebook, but I kept getting blocked for going against their policies of selling animals, I had to write to them saying, it's a drawing their not real 😂 So I made these up to see the difference..

Have recently finished this drawing of Shadow. A handsome boy indeed. He is sadly in doggy heaven. I was honoured to draw him and I think I captured him perfectly. Miss you shadow but not forgotten. RIP🌸😊😢 #petportraits#dogs#vanessapollenart#colourdrawings

We are deciding who we are every minute of every day, but no matter what you decide in any moment nothing changes the truth that you are light and love. Through the art of photography I hope that I capture that light so that you can be reminded whenever you forget.
