🌿 A weekend of visitors ahead and then we are packing our bags and taking Charlotte home to Kerry for the first time 👏 Too premature to take the wetsuits and body boards down from the attic? Fingers crossed the weather will stay.....because my kids are going to the beach rain, hail or shine!
Happy Easter everyone, have a great weekend x

I look at this and I truly count my blessings. I fee privileged. This house is my part of my DNA. I bled working on this house, I’ve knocked myself out almost, heck I’ve even lost a nail. If someone asked me is it worth it, I’d still say yes. Work on the old lady will never stop, but it’s times like these that a stand back and think I made that. I spoke to someone today, they’d lost their little girl aged 3. I didn’t ask why, I didn’t need to know. I instantly cried. It’s made me realise that maybe I should spend less time on this now, and more time with the 2 girls who mean more than the world to me.
Oh so many sash windows 😍 All our windows are supply only - Unfortunately we don’t fit them, but we do offer amazing prices! So how do we price our uPVC sash windows? Quite simple really - they start at £299 for virtually ANY size. This price is for our smooth white window, white furniture, plant-on horns, 150mm stub cill and includes A-rated glass with toughened glass on the bottom sash. Any additional or alternative feature is charged extra - This might be a larger cill, run-through horns, a coloured finish, or glazing bars to suit a particular design. We offer incredible and highly competitive prices, so you can afford to treat your home! Please do get in touch for any quotes or take a look on our website for more information and a downloadable brochure 😊 #ColinsSashWindows
So the dinner party is over and your beautiful candles have left wax on your table linen! But have no fear!
In tomorrow’s blog post, YouTube video and on my IGTV I’ll be showing you how dripped wax doesn’t need to mean the end of your table linens!
Please do give it a watch to see how to remove those stubborn marks.
My favourite houses of all time are Victorian, Georgian townhouses! I love a restored period property where you can build some modern decor, clever space savers. It’s amazing what people can do with such little space for a London townhouse garden! Bay windows, high ceilings, sash windows & large halls- GIVE ME.

A quick update on the kitchen ⬆️
Been a terrible poster recently but life has recently consisted of work, renovation & sleep and not a whole lot else...the house is almost there and we had cleaners round this morning doing a whole house deep clean ready for us to move in this weekend 🙌
🌿 The family bathroom from a different angle. As I said in my Q&A last night, our biggest saving was on all our bathroom supplies. Everything in all 3 bathrooms/toilets is @burlingtonbathroom bought through the UK. Our cast iron bath is from @castironbathcompany again, shipped via the UK
Panneling is painted in @farrowandball Railings, walls are just pure white.
This has officially been the busiest month of my whole life. Matter of fact the busiest year of my life and its only April.
It's 3 days now until our wedding and there's still a lot left to do. On top of that I went back to work this month, and we've still been trying to do little bits around the house.
I tell ya something, hats off to working mums because it's absolutely knackering!
We've been working on the spare room and the bathroom. We're not even close to remodeling the bathroom but painting that and the spare room to freshen them up was important to us with us having guests over from Ireland for the wedding. I feel like I've become the ultimate multitasking queen.
Having a baby that's suffering with nightmarish separation anxiety has definitely not made doing things for the wedding or in the house easy.
At least when the weekend is over we can shift our attention back to the house! With the first big think happening on the 23rd! We're finally having our wood burning stove fitted. Happy days!

I haven’t posted this room in a while, I’ll be getting it ready for Easter dinner soon, other than flowers do do much Easter decorating, I have some in the kitchen for the kids, does everyone decorate for Easter?
Day 8 - Dark or Light @myhousethismonth
Dark lounge and light hall - I collected and renovated most of the frames on this wall, and cut the mounts for the images myself - a real labour of love which took a long time, but well worth it ✨
Next job will be sorting out those messy cables in the hall - a little bit of insta-reality there!
This new fieldstone home was inspired by the work of early 20th century architect R. Brognard Okie and by the natural beauty of its idyllic setting, and features period-appropriate millwork, casing, baseboards, stairs, paneling, and wainscot throughout.
