Please meet our Cast!! This is Chris and her dog Clarence!! They have contributed a lot of time and energy to this production. Chris also has another dog and is very involved in the training of both dogs. She trains in various activities and stays very active with her dogs.
Thank you Chris for all you do!
Chris and Clarence's Bio:
Clarence is 3 year old, flat-coated retriever mix. We adopted him from Saving Grace Rescue when he was 1 year old. 6 Hairy Legs has benefited both me and Clarence which goes beyond dancing with him. He is much more attentive to me on walks. He is much better at directing his attention to me when I call his name. Plus he has learned many new commands. Suzanne is an excellent dog trainer, and adjusts training techniques based on each individual dog.
I have never took a formal dance class before. I have background in yoga, and group exercise classes. Sabatino is instrumental in helping each person at their own level achieve the proper dance movements with proper form for a healthy, strong body.
Participating in a 6 Hairy Legs Performance requires many hours of training in order for you and your dog to remember the moves. Your dog learns to perform based on your movements. Even though it is a lot of work, it is very also rewarding for both you and your dog.
With all the training we completed, the Nutcracker and His Mutts dance group has developed a comradery. We help each other and each other's dogs throughout. We have also learned from one another to help address any bad habits that our dogs have. It has been a real pleasure working with all the performers, people and dogs.
One last thought, I hope our performance goes well for Clarence. He tends to have stage freight in a large group.

Great news, Spartan Fitness Gateshead is now teaming up with Joseph Swan Academy. It’s great going back to the school I went to as a young lad. I am going to do my very best to turn all these students, Parents, local people in the area to try real physical fitness & turning it to fittest place in the area. Not only do I want to have a growing business, but it’s always been my plan to turn my area in to the fittest as well. I’m I type of person that likes to do things my own way, all the years & years I have had training, competing, learning, I have developed my own style that I know will eventually change how people think about training. Gateshead council has there thing going on, gyms & franchises has there's. I know I have something that when it comes to raw physical fitness nothing comes close. I now have, football teams, rugby union & rugby league, runners, all starting to realise what I’m about. Don’t worry I still get people that just want to lose weight as well.
Listen to me very closely, we need to change are mind set on why you don’t train, or don't train hard enough. Obesity is now up there with heart disease as the biggest killers in the UK.
I wish I could tell you it gets easier
I wish I could tell you to go rest for a year
I wish I could tell you your weight will get lighter
I wish I could tell you your runs will get easy
I wish I could tell you that, but that's not the truth, the truth is you need to find something from with in & That’s got to move You, that’s got to drive you, that’s got to motivate you.
See you All on January 7th 5.30 to 6.30, 6.30 to 7.30

This is something I wish I had known when I was narrowing down target college teams to try to walk on when I was in high school. I was obsessed with the “D1” tag, and figured I had to play division 1 or there was no point in playing college baseball. The best players play at these schools, right? They must have the best coaching, the logic goes. I don’t regret my college choice, because it worked out for me, but I probably would have been better off choosing a smaller school and getting playing time from the start, vs. not being good enough to play until I was a senior. I also never even considered for a second which schools had a better coaching staff, or had a better track record with developing players. This would be my #1 criteria if I could do it over again, because it doesn’t matter if you get to play for the #1 college team in the country if you get there and it’s distance running, towel drills, and coaching every pitcher to throw the same way (yes, this does exist).
