Five out of six of us caught the flu over Christmas break. Gratefully we had one day - our last before returning to school and work - that all of us were healthy. We visited our favorite local museums and everyone enjoyed this incredible Windswept exhibit. Definitely one to see if you’re in Utah!

No man has the right to dictate what other men should perceive, create or produce, but all should be encouraged to reveal themselves, their perceptions and emotions, and to build confidence in the creative spirit.

One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful.
This installation by Patrick Dougherty is located on the USU Logan campus, in front of the Merrill-Cazier Library. It makes a wonderful addition to our outdoor sculpture walk, or a visit to the museum.
Took the 5th graders to the BYU MoA today and saw Patrick Dougherty’s amazing installation of willow branches!! I LOVE art museums- this one especially because I worked there when it opened 25 years ago! I was the first education assistant and then went on to teach kids art classes. #artteachersofinstagram#byumoa#patrickdougherty

I see my work as being propelled by people's concerns about the environment... each of us is not trying to do anything wrong but as a whole we've started having a real impact." - Patrick Dougherty
