Yoga, the art of connecting body and mind. 🧘♀️☀️🤸🏼♀️
I love trees. I love morning light. Trees in morning light is the bee's knees

I was headed out of the park- Joshua Tree album blasting, camera packed away, eating a @clifbar (this is not an ad)- and I saw this cloud! Just look at it man. It reminded me of one of my favorite photographers, @bejamin, who has this wild uncanny knack for making photographs look like paintings. Had to stop for this cloud. It was hanging by itself, I was hanging by myself- made sense.
I followed a trail that lead to the aesthetically-perfect tree in the distance, and hid behind this other scrappy looking thing in the foreground and took this. Is #tbt still a thing?
When I climbed Kilimanjaro 3 years ago, I reached a point where I didn't think I was going to make it to the top. I had passed out after we hit 5000 metres, and I was so cold I couldn't feel my hands or feet anymore. I wanted to quit.
And then the sun began to creep slowly over the horizon, and I witnessed the most beautiful magic I've ever seen.
A golden halo encircled the full moon above us, and around that was a full rainbow, bright beautiful colours, lighting up the sky and filling me with energy.
As the sun grew stronger in the morning sky, so did I.
I grinned up at the moon, and then I laughed, and then I jumped around a bit, and I said, "Ok, let's go. My dad is with me now."
My guide - who had walked with me since I passed out the second time - threw his head back and laughed with me.
"Nguvu kama simba", he said to me. "Strong like lion. I will call you Simba."
So much gratitude to @sonofstag for so beautifully creating something which means so much to me 🖤
With our long winters in #yyc the “other half”, aka the exterior of our home is often neglected while we unthaw inside. If you need to show your homes exterior some love, contact us today! #NotableBuilt

a #throwbackthursday because @johnbcrist and his highlight reel has me feeling defensive about putting up a “caption this” photo 😂
to right my wrong, i’m giving this its own permanent square, i don’t want anyone thinking i was too lazy to come up with my own caption. 😏😜
From a little spot in the mountains located near Torrey, Utah, you can see a stretch of road that so awesomely wraps the trees. Not to mention the cool beans mountain spot in the background.
Engagement tip of the day: figure out what people are in to. Watch for trending content in your niche. Is there an influencer or photographer that you like? The best way to grow sometimes is to follow in other peoples footsteps while establishing your own individuality. There’s nothing wrong with getting ideas from other people and putting your own spin on it.
Throwback Thursday to when I converted a regular pop up tent into a black and white cabana! Wish we could keep it up permanently but with frequent high winds it isn’t possible to keep it up all the time. I just love creating intimate little spaces in our tiny yard as you also saw in my last couple of posts . This girl here has no need and desire for a big yard. Who’s with me? To see this project click the link in my profile and then on this image https://cuckoo4design.com/diy-black-and-white-cabana/

I could cycle and hike these mountains every day.
Now the thing with this El Camino is... First two days you are super enthusiastic, willing to go beyond your limits, smash the day.
Then follow the few days of realization that perhaps you are not ready for this kind of body stress. That you can't do it, you perform less than expected, you start to get first long-term bruises and rashes. You realize it's not as easy and if it were easy everyone would do it.
At last... Comes the actual reality. You fucking smash it every single day, over performing day by day by day with cycling more kilometres every single day than you ever had before while training. And you still don't stop. This phenomenal feeling of personal success drives you relentlessly until at the very end...
There is dinner. And shower 🚿 and another day tomorrow. ❤️
In Scotland they call whipped cream in aerosol cans “squirty cream” and I think that’s just the best.
I’d tell you where this hike is, but I have no idea. We saw a primitive path and started climbing. I stumbled across strength I didn’t know I had in the process.
Not enough strength to unpack within the next week though, obviously. I hear some people do this the day they get home. I would like these people to know they are serial killers.
Proof of squirty cream in stories.
