On our guided visit to Doi Suthep we also visited the Hidden Temple of Wat Pha Lat on the way down. Given that we visited Doi Sutheph on a public holiday (eek!) and it was so busy, I much preferred Wat Pha Lat, it was so peaceful and quiet and almost just a part of the surrounding nature.. must visit!
I’m just a little excited to be going on an adventure! ⠀
It’s been a little while between journeys for us and it feels soooo good to be on the road again, albeit for a short journey this time. ⠀
This picture is of me getting carried away with the wide open road and space of Tasmania’s gorgeous central highlands. Hardly a car for miles and wild, wild country.... we even found a block of land up here that we are seriously thinking of buying! We might be crazy, but hey, life is short and this land is beautiful! And seriously, we’ve dreamed of owning our own little chunk of bush since the day we met. And maybe today we found it!⠀
Watch this space...... anyone else out there dreaming of owning a little bush block somewhere wild? (Off to look at second hand caravans to park on our patch of paradise on gumtree right about now......) ⠀
We love Picnics. It’s a whole culture here in San Francisco. It’s such a great way to connect with nature and each other. It’s so nourishing to lay on the earth and eat and snuggle (definitely some of our favorite things❤️). What’s your favorite picnic food?
Yes!!! We booked this morning another boat-adventure 💙 This was on a 3day expedition from Coron to El Nido. It was such a great adventure (with nice people). Now we have the opportunity to do another boat expedition. It is from Lombok to Flores: 4 days 3 nights. And we are going to see again incredible things. So we are so excited about it 🤩
Cheers to the fact that every day is a Saturday for us 🙌🏼🍺
Not for long anymore tho 🙈 We just made our resume and hopefully find a job soon.
While I was typing this post, I did some research about money and found out there is actually a plant called money tree! (yes, I’m distracted really easily 😅) Unfortunately... it doesn’t grow money but just leaves 🌿😋 The plant is symbolic to wish someone good luck.
Anyways, if somebody knows a nice working place in the Northern Territory or Queensland, hit me up! 🙌🏼

~The Splash in Life~
In the past few years, living away from my family, following my dream and building up my career,
I've learned that it isn't always a bad thing when there are rocks in the middle of your road.
Those rocks can be a roadblock or it can be a catalyst that makes you stronger and life more interesting.
Just like the big rocks on the shore, how would we have beautiful splashes if there's no rock blocking the waves?
It all started for us back in 2015 when we went to Thailand for the first time after working, saving, living with roommates, and making the sacrifices necessary to travel 🎒 Looking back it was the best decision we ever made! What are some sacrifices you’ve made to make your dreams come true? Or if you’re not quite there yet, what are you willing to give up? We’re rootin’ for ya 🌳

Be with someone who pushes you out of your routine, who dares you to be more than you are, someone who wants to move to a foreign country with you, a person who wants to learn a new language together, hike mountains, snorkel reefs, and try surfing with you, even if you both suck at it. In essence be with someone who wants to LIVE ✨

Day 19 ~ Bali 🇮🇩
What are you doing during rainy days while traveling ✈️?
Maybe you’ve recognized that we didn’t post yesterday. After enjoying the evening in the lounge (with maybe one or two cocktails 🍹and some super delicious snacks 😏) we took a taxi to the Ogoh Ogoh Festival in Nusa Dua 🚕. It was really interesting but we were so tired that we left after half an hour 🙈. Back in our hotel we felt immediately asleep 💤.
As we told you already in our stories, today is the silent day in Bali, so we’re not allowed to leave to hotel.
Therefore we had a really relaxed day 🥳. After a super delicious breakfast (little Anna was in paradise 💕), we watched some series, had some pool action and enjoyed some snacks in the lounge.
It was a little bit sad that it rained the whole day, cause we hoped that we could enjoy the sun a little bit during our last day - but the luck wasn’t with us today 🙈. There was one little rain break (for at maximum 10 minutes) and that was when we took this shot 💕. Nevertheless we enjoyed this last relaxed day a lot 🥰. And especially the dinner in our room was a wonderful end 💕.
Happy Thursday 🥳! We hope you’re feeling good today 🤗! Lots of love from Bali to all of you ♥️.

Yesterday was my birthday (yes my name is April and I was born in April, wild I know) but more importantly it meant that I had a fabulous excuse to drag Bec out of bed for sunrise! 😂 We'd never been to the lookout this early before, and we got to watch the sun pop up over the city, it was magical! This was the perfect start to an incredible day, thanks to my one and only @becsabout ❤️❤️❤️
Things don’t always go as planned, but it’s how you react to it that matters. Whatever happens, keep positive and just remember that everything happens for a reason. You will get through it and there will always be a better day not far away ✨
