A temple dedicated in the name of God Sun, it is a classic illustration of the Odisha style of Hindu temple architecture. This temple is a must visit place. The temple itself is built with engraved sculptures in its wall, each and every sculptures in it tells a different story of the temple.
Recently they are repairing the damage parts of the temple now, caused by natural calamities, for that bamboos are hanging from each sides.

64 Yogini Temple of Hirapur, Orissa.
Hirapur Yogini temple is the smallest among such shrines found in India. Situated to the east of the temple City, Bhuvneshwar. .
Some legends say that village Hirapur has been established by Hiradei, the queen of the ruling king in the 9th century. Some villages still believe that once it rained diamonds from the sky and hence the name. That's difficult to believe!
In the inner side of the temple there are sixty Yoginis housed in sixty niches of circular enclosure. They are craved in black chlorite and each one of them have their respective mounts. Beside the 60 Yoginis, there are another three housed in pillared of the 'Chandi Mandap'. Yogini no. 61 is missing - vandalized. Yogini Mohamaya is the presiding deity of the shrine, having ten arms and mounted on a full bloomed lotus. .
This particular sweet dish needs no introduction especially for the peeps of Odisha, who very well know what it is and love it to the core... This is eastern India's especially Odisha's one of the finest desserts which is made up of fresh cheese or Chenna (in Odia) sugar and dry fruits like cashew and raisins and is baked for hours until it gets roasted or get burnt properly and turns deep brown..
