Just wanted to say thank you again @pappasnicolette! Legit one of the most talented people I've ever worked with! You brought my songs to another level! Anyway, thank you a million and hopefully see you again soon 🙏🎵🎶🎵❣
I’m going to admit it, I’m scared of showing people my songs. I’m always worried that they sound too cheesy or they are just bad all together. I’m also terrified singing pop as I’ve been trained in musical theatre and have no hecking clue what I’m doing. But the reason I’m posting this because @jessiereyez my writing inspiration is hosting a songwriting workshop and she’s giving her followers a chance to be in this workshop. Since her first EP, I’ve been obsessed. Her style of writing is so beautiful. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to see her perform twice and she is truly my inspiration. This song is called Stuck In Your Rhythm and it’s the first song I wrote start to finish. I’ve been writing for years, but this summer I actually finished my first song. I’ve always had a passion for writing and I want people to hear my songs. I wrote them for a reason, to express my emotions through a certain period time. Songs are so beautiful and everyone’s should be heard. I’ve been scared to post my songs, I’m scared to be judged but, I just gotta say fuck it. If I want my art to be shared, I gotta post it myself. I gotta make the effort and put in the work. Please stayed tuned for more to come.🖤💿 #jessiereyezworkshop#singer#originalsong

I’ve been wanting to post this song for a long time now and I hope Josh & Kevin don’t mind. This is my friend’s band No Joy In Mudville, sadly the band is no longer together but this is my favorite song of theirs and I wanted to share it. (Copyrights: No Joy In Mudville) ❤️🎶

Do I look like a mess? Yes. Am I in the bathroom? Yes. What’s life without a little bathroom jam. My new song comes out at 6:30pm EST. I’m also entering this clip into Jessie Reyez’s kind of like contest. It’s a one of a life time opportunity, and I’d love to be able to go, I think it’d be really good for me to learn and grow from such an incredible woman who inspires me. I wish luck to everyone who’s trying to get a spot In this💛 #jessiereyezworkshop@jessiereyez#originalsong#2am#singing

I wrote a song!! I love the way it turned out, I hope you like it! I wrote the piano portion forever ago and have been looking for the perfect lyrics. I wrote the song portion yesterday without the piano in mind, and when I put them together it sounded pretty okay to me lol. But I’m no pianist so. The lyrics are: “Memories, are just colored-in-thoughts,
the bumps and the ridges are what they forgot.
The times that we had-please don’t be mad-were really quite bad”
They sound kinda random but they mean a lot to me. I’ve come to realize how exaggerated memories can be. We mix what we wish we had with our memories which creates an almost surreal yearning to go back to that time, but in reality we just made it appear better than it was. What I’m trying to say is memories are real, but we shouldn’t depend on them to much for happiness-the truth is they’re altered and most likely not what really happened. Maybe you get it, maybe you don’t. Either way I hope you enjoy the song! •
