Make America the Oregon Trail Again 🐃☁️ Giddily planning next month’s cross country road trip with adventure stops in Tucson, White Sands National Park, Marfa, Austin, and New Orleans, wee! My future sore butt and I are all ears for your favorite murder mystery podcast, yoga studio, and #vegan foodie recs, friends 🙋🏻♀️
We packed up my car that day, loaded is more like it...poor @bbquinnportrait could barely sit inside with me. We grabbed donuts and I told stories and @kelleyjordanphotography snapped this photo of us. One last time before leaving Indy as my home.
It’s hard to recognize the person I was in this picture. Hard to believe it’s taken this long to really feel like I’m on the right path. At the time, I sincerely believed I’d be well on my way by Christmas...good job, place to live, friends...the whole life package. I’d have my life sorted out, my life purpose outlined and understood.
The girl in that picture had no idea she’d be homeless for almost a year, get called “Ranger Christie” for three summers (with some of the most amazing people) work her way thru the basic sciences and into med school for #naturopathicmedicine , fall in love with an amazing man and be finding her way in a city she’d only dreamed about, with incredible people by her side.
It’s not about the ribbons, but they are a nice reflection of hard work! Good job team TREC! Week one at Wilsonville is a wrap 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 #TeamNW#OregonTrail#horseshowlife

Started the Oregon roadtrip on Saturday morning by heading west to the ocean - Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park in Northern Oregon. Weather was a bit cold and windy, but the rocky coastline and cliff hiking was beautiful. I'm not a beach person, but this place had a great relaxed feel to it.
Happy to be on the trail again! Made it through the #GreatDivideBasin and the #RedDesert but this year’s cool wet spring has it looking more like the green desert. This section of the #CDT is probably the most remote so far and there were lots of pronghorn and wild horses. Fun surprises included a swimming beach at the A&M Reservoir and hiking along the #OregonTrail (didn’t die of dysentery). A less than fun surprise included an extremely healthy tick population; had a momentary freak out when I stopped to set-up camp and found ten stuck to my socks. And ironically I just found another crawling up my leg as I write this post. 😒 Arrived in Atlantic City in time for an amazing bacon cheeseburger at the Miner’s Grubsteak and then spent the evening on the porch at Wild Bill’s Bed & Breakfast enjoying lemonade, ice cream, and homemade brownies with Bill, Carmella, Colonel, and Hob. Tomorrow Colonel and I get back on the trail with hopes to arrive at @lavamountainlodge by Jun 26th and Jeff is joining us for the first day. Unfortunately the rivers flowing out of the #WindRiverMountains are raging and the forecast is calling for rain down low and more snow up high. #BraveTheCDT#CDT2019#EmbraceTheBrutality#GutterSpoon
I’m devastated to share that last night, just after 2:00am someone came onto my property & took Belladonna Winterspell!!! I was woken up by the dogs barking & donkeys braying & heard Belladonna honking as well. All the animals were frantic. I rushed outside just in time to catch a brief glimpse of a sedan of some sort peeling out of the driveway. My entrance gate is quite a distance from the house & I couldn’t see much. So I ran down to the gate... and that’s where I found a clump of feathers. I was in a panic searching for Bella until it hit me.. She was gone. I’m in shock. I didn’t even realize until speaking with several people today how “valuable” Black Swans are because I don’t think of animals in monetary terms like that. They apparently sell for thousands of dollars. So I can only assume that’s why someone took her. I know most of you are not from this area so I doubt this post will help much but I just don’t know what else to do... Aside, of course from filing a police report & spreading the word in case someone sees her for sale or knows where she is. If you have ANY information at all about Belladonna PLEASE contact me🙏🏼 I just want her home!!! PLEASE!!!! 💔 #help#enchantedfarmsanctuary#belladonnawinterspell Ps... for those asking about FB: yes, our page is: Facebook.com/EnchantedFarm 🙏🏼
Did you know the Willamette Falls locks were one of the first multi-tiered lock systems in the country? Take one of our guided tours to learn more about these historic locks as well as other historical features of Oregon city.
If you don’t get this shirt you are either too old or too young.. or maybe your school just didn’t have this.. in that case I feel bad for you & your lack of prehistoric computer skills. I never made it to Oregon.. not once.. not ever ☹️ it’s rigged I tell ya.. idk if it was trying to teach me some deep life lesson.. I feel the random tropical skirt makes it a lil less ominous as I walk around town wearing it
