Those who wish to have a toy train ride will enjoy the Niligiri toy train. There is 8 1st class seats and 36 reserved seats and 100 unreserved seats. Those who wish to travel in unreserved compartment has to reach the railway station and wait in front of the railway station master where there is a que system.The train will leave by 7.10 am and enroute there are stations in which the train stops. The first station is not that much of sight seeing, but all other stations you have a some scenic views. The steam engine is only from Mettupalayam to Coonor and there after it is the normal diesel engine. Hence please try to get the maximum photos of the steam engine before you reach Coonor.Cost is as follows 205 per person in First Class 30 per person in Second Class 15 for Unreserved category.
