So I got a request this week: what can I make my kiddo that will be nut free and allergy friendly that they will actually enjoy (bonus if it has some protein)!
My response: almost any recipe that calls for nuts or even almond flour can be made allergy friendly with sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds.
To make your own sunflower seed flour all you need is a high speed blender (I use our little ninja bullet). Just add the seeds and blend until they form a fine powder - just don’t take it too far or you will have the beginning of sunflower seed butter!
You can also make energy bites (like these chocolate strawberry 🍓 energy bites) using sunflower seeds and they are 100% allergy friendly! You can even omit the coconut flour and add a second tbsp of chia seeds instead if you need to!
To make these chocolate strawberry protein energy bites you need:
7 large dates soaked in hot water and pitted
2 tbs. water from soaking the dates
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 scoop vanilla or chocolate protein powder
1 tbs. chia seeds
1 tbs. coconut flour
2 tbs. cacao or unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup dehydrated strawberries (I get mine from @aldiusa )

Capesante: that’s “holy shells” in Italian. Maybe that’s why I feel rather blessed whenever I eat them. Or maybe it’s just that I love them. And love them especially this way — baked, with almond slivers and orange juice and olive oil. A variation on the recipe in #venetothecookbook. Cloudy white wine with a citrus note to pair. Saturday.

Čas na večeři... Víkend je naprosto geniální na to, že si ho můžeme maximálně užít právě tím co nás nejvíce baví 😊😉👌👍
(samozřejmě, že na pár výjimek, kteří o vikendech musí být v práci. Jsou to většinou ty co jsou ve službách a nebo právě i my kuchaři)
Ať už si ho užívate jakkoliv, je fajn, že nam zbyde i dost času na to vyhrát si s jídlem a udělat si něco moc dobrého. Na co kolikrát nemáme čas přes týden.
Tak že na dnešní večeři jsem připravil:

A můžu Vám říct, že i když si stím dáme více práce a zabere to trochu více času. Ten výsledek stojí za to. Když si zaboříte vidličkou a maso se rozplíva jak dort..v kombinaci s bramborovo-pastiňakovou kaší je poezie.
