One fine fisherman lives here with the catch of his life.
While rowing my boat for 2 hours in the mystic waters of Umngot river, I extended my hand to the lower side of the boat, and felt my fingers being drawn through the water. In my mind I was drawing, on the water, the liquid universe, wholly abstract. Though the water was as clear as a crystal, my mind turned it Army green and silvery blue of steel.
When the boat slowly moved into the shadows, I heard some soft mumbling sound, a fisherman was melodiously singing his song for the fishes to come.
I wonder what must be in his mind, the sun must be set in an hour or so and he has to finish his catch, before the dusk and back to his hut, where his wife will be waiting eagerly, to make the dinner with the fresh catch.
They don't call it the rainy season for nothing!! Trekking (Strolling) and homestay in Sapa, northern Vietnam.
I didn't take my boots.... big mistake 🙈 real waterproof gear is near impossible to buy in Hanoi-but there is Northfake everywhere 😟
There is a first time for everything and I walked for the two days with plastic bags over my socks in case the boots weren't actually waterproof.....they were 😀 yeah for #columbia#oneplus5#nofilter#vietnam🇻🇳 #hiking#dryfeet#solotravel
