Who doesn’t love an omelette ?? 🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳
One of the very first transitions I made was how I purchased eggs. Not only do I look for the most humanely treated and natural ones (and also affordable), but I also look at the packaging.
So many eggs come in styrofoam packaging. I would say about I see about a third in that kind of packaging when I’m shopping.
There are 4️⃣.1️⃣ BILLION egg cartons a year. That means about 1️⃣.5️⃣ BILLION are styrofoam!
And where does that end up?
You can make a difference by buying the ones in cardboard instead of styrofoam or plastic! It’s still affordable and when you’re done you can recycle it, compost it, use it to plant seedlings and then plant the whole cup in the ground! 🌱🌱🌱
The uses are endless.
Make that small change today and avoid buying styrofoam!
Another great suggestion! Check your local farmers market that sells eggs. They will sometimes take your used cartons, or if you bring them in they will refill it for you!
