How gorgeous is this little church in Russell? It's said to be the oldest building in New Zealand still used for its original purpose. I had to laugh when I saw this fact because not too long ago, I posted a pic of Sveti Duje in Split, which similarly is thought to be the oldest Catholic Cathedral (in the world!), and dates from the fourth century. This cute little church dates from... 1836. Ah, New Zealand! 😂 #twofeetinNorthland

Exploring the city with @alexturner.photo at night is always fun. We went to a famous alley can obviously watch Taipei 101. Normally, there are always many photographers over there to create some amazing shots. But that day was not nice weather, lucky we were only photographers there. We believe creation should not be limited under any circumstance. 📷

Named after the local Pondo people, the Pondoland Marine Protected Area is located adjacent to the Mkhambathi Nature Reserve, on the shores of the Indian Ocean, and provides protection for several line fish species under threat.
The Marine Protected Area is approximately 90km long and runs between the Mzamba River in the north and the Umzimvubu River in the south, extending 10km out to sea. No fishing from a vessel is allowed in the large offshore restricted zone between the Sikombe and Mbotyi Rivers, primarily to enable the recovery and rebuilding of depleted line fish stocks.
The Pondoland MPA also provides a haven for whales and dolphins. This coastline has some of the largest concentrations of marine mammals in the world and humpback whales and dolphins, in particular, can be often spotted, and is within the area that hosts the annual sardine migration, which attracts many different bird species and ocean predators.
Pondoland is largely rural and undeveloped and the people who live here are directly dependent on the natural environment for their survival.

She stood tall and sang a song to the lowering sun. The birds chirping along softly in the wind... her harmony making it's way around the animated clouds. The light faded quicker. I had never seen the sun glow so magically, so beautifully. This was a lullaby for the sun, that had yet to see what she would become. HBDB

Have you ever had one of those experiences leading to the realization of how tiny we are as human beings on earth, let alone in the universe? Maybe you’re flying in an airplane looking down on the small buildings and cars, or maybe you’re sitting atop a cliff’s edge watching tiny human specs walk around down below. Either way, these experiences really put into perspective the relativity of our individual lives. Each one of those specs observed from a distance has a life full of love, happiness, fear, anxiety, and worry. Many of us tend to get caught up in our own problems. They can feel so important and all-encompassing, however when observed from afar, lose all significance. When the stress and anxiety in life seems overbearing, I like to imagine what earth must looks like from one of our neighboring planets; a small blue spec. All of human history happened on that blue spec. All of it. Yet it is only a dot of blue in a terrestrial night sky.
The image above, showing the true scale of myself amongst a giant Utah landscape, was one of these experiences for me. It’s such a nice reminder that everything is relative. Everything.
