@linleyblain has had AMAZING results with PLC - we can’t wait to change lives in North Lakes as well!!! All thanks to her own hard work and determination.
The before photos are the only times you should ever look back - just to see how far you’ve truly come! 🏋🏼♀️ We know it’s difficult to come on winter mornings or winter nights after work, but to be as strong as Linley, you have to push through! 💪🏽 We are so incredibly proud of how far she has come and maintained her positive mindset on this journey! It’s a long one, so let’s make it fun and get through it as a family! 💚🙏🏽

I saw this posted yesterday on @qldfit, it was an article posted by the Courier Mail. As usual the article has portions that are quite a stretch from the truth.
Ten years ago when I first stepped into a gym the whole fitness industry was different. Gym rats were a minority, weights hardly got used and cardio machines were in full effect. Girls back then were striving towards being skinny, eating disorders and anorexia were terms that were commonly being thrown around.
Today by contrast, I see a positive shift in general health. People want to look fit/good/healthy, but they also want to BE healthy. People are much more conscious about what they consume in terms of food, knowledge, exercise, skin and hair products.
I think we should be proud of how far we have come. In another 10 years from now I hope to see the medical field put a further emphasis on preventative health rather than reactive.
To finally get to the point of this post…..The gold in this article comes near the end where they try to promote a big booty being a deterrent to good health. I couldn't think of anything further from the truth. Unless your big booty is coming in the form of implants or injectables. It takes time, dedication and hard work to grow a big strong backside, it doesn't happen overnight. A strong booty works hand in hand with a strong core to promote stability.
Sure, if exercises are performed poorly it could result in low back pain. I could say the same about any exercise or activity. That's why it is important that people seek out professional advice from a qualified expert if they do not know how to do these things properly in the first place.
But, don't tell me a big booty is bad for your health! 💪

A simple brekky, but nutritious and filling and a great way to start the day! An absolute favourite in my household 🏠🍳
I have a fussy 13 yr old who eats very little throughout the day and it drives me crazy! However, he does love a big brekky, so at least I can feel rest assured that after this healthy brekky he leaves for school with a full belly 😋. This keeps him satisfied for ages! ✔️ .
Eggs contain good quality protein and are a source of healthy fats including omega-3 fats. Perfect for a growing boy! Danielle, CA. 😀👍
Definitley my favourite coffee spot in Northlakes. If only I lived closer I would be here every day. But alas live on the other side of Brisbane and will have to make a visit when I can for the great coffee.

Really enjoyed listening to Phillip Di Bella, the face behind Di Bella Coffee, this morning at the North Lakes Chamber of Commerce and LA Partners Breakfast at the North Lakes Resort Golf Club. It is very encouraging and inspiring to meet an entrepreneur such as Phillip, to hear where he has come from, how he created the De Bella Coffee empire and the up’s and down’s along the way. @northlakesresortgolfclub
HOW IS YOUR SINGLE LEG SQUAT?
A poor single leg squat can indicate issues with hip stability.
Issues with hip stability can lead to: ankle, knee, hip and even back pain.
Try performing a single leg squat test to see if hip stability is an issue for you.
To execute a single leg squat test adequately complete the following:
Start by placing your hands on your hips. Any change in the level of your hands during the squat will fail the test
Make sure your knee goes forwards over your toes. If your knee wavers or dips inwards it also indicates a failed test.
Ankle mobility. Just like the knee, the ankle should stay stable and shouldn't wobble. Lack of ankle control indicates a failed test.
For the test, only perform the squat to 1/2 depth. There are a number of other contributing factors that may influence the squat below this depth.
Once you've mastered the body weight single leg squat you can try the following movements as progressions:
 Single leg box squat
 Dumbbell single leg squat
 Assisted pistol squat
 Counter weighted pistol squat
 Pistol squat
