The beach at Helen’s Bay.
Helen's Bay (Irish: Cuan Héilin) is a village on the northern coast of County Down, Northern Ireland.
The village is named after Helen, Lady Dufferin, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava, and owners of the Clandeboye Estate. Helen’s Bay is a planned village which derived from the building of the Belfast and County Down Railway (BCDR) in the mid 19th century, and the aspirations of the local landlord, the Marquess of Dufferin and Ava who wanted to develop the area as a luxury holiday resort to rival Portstewart and Portrush.
#AKindOfFuturology (part 1):
#Britain will break up after the exit from #EuropeanUnion - #Scotland will leave it and #NorthernIreland as well (uniting with its other half - as #Korea one day will), letting #England alone (with #Walles...) and deeply divided (mainly among old conservative rural / excluded population and young progressive urban / active ones).
The once great Britain will turn into a little one...
Or eventually an undo will somehow happen (most probably it will), and the #british society - by so much regretting such decision - manages to create a mechanism to revert it into a formal way to return to #EU.
Maybe if a new #referendum will take place tomorrow, the result will be right the opposite of today's...
Paralelly, europeans are tired of the nonsense this sort of EU "government" is becoming - many important things must start to change from now on.
But solutions are found and transformations are operated from the inside, not cowardly running away from the common ground of mutual interests.
And we all need british #idiosyncrasy and values, in order to properly operate it.
A question - with the current tools of mass opinion's manipulation being evilly used by populists, does it make sense to keep this system of elections where voting is a pre-acquired prerogative?
Or instead people should conquer it, by doing for example, exams/tests where they prove having reached a minimum of knowledge about their society's (and world's) main questions and real problems..?
For example, to drive vehicles such is demanded, as without its respective knowledge and license it may create danger to others - and votes have the same sort of consequence - a risk to the rest of society, when not properly prepared to.
Ignorance is easier to manipulate -- that's why populism spreads among it.
(We will have the chance to check this out on the USA elections this year, with populist's trump -- Donald J.)

I’ll forever love looking back on this magical weekend with my man! 💚🍀 When Patrick and I used to travel (before instagram was a thing & I was a few years away from starting my blog) I would collect tiny paper souvenirs from all of the different places we visited (whether it was a brochure from a hotel, a wine label from dinner or even small entrance tickets from museums & attractions) & tape them inside of a leather journal where I would write out our everyday adventures. 📖🌎I still look back on the book I made from our honeymoon every so often and it always makes me smile.
Recording our travels on Lone Star Looking Glass is like the “modern day” version of keeping a diary but now I get to share it with those who care to take a peek. 💙 So without further ado, today’s entry is on our stay at @cullodenestate in Belfast, Northern Ireland. We kicked off our fall Irish adventure here & oh my goodness it was the stuff of fairytales! If you ever find yourself making your way to Northern Ireland, head to my latest post to see why you have simply got to stay at this beautiful estate. #readytogoback#cullodenestate#irishadventure#travelblogger#northernireland
