Today’s improved Beef Bourguignon was delish! The beef is chunkier and slow cooked all day, yet still you’re treated to a beautifully pink centre as it falls apart with your fork before melting in your mouth and the sauce is made with better quality red wine and beef stock and reduced down to perfection. I had mine with mash and am still reeling from the after taste. I might blow my own trumpet for this one if you don’t mind 😂 A few portions spare and available at the end of the week once I’ve bought more labels (just discovered I’m out!) £4.50 each. First come first served, as always.
Lots of fascinating WWII remnants along the Norfolk Coast Path including this pill box near Weybourne. Great time to be thinking about your next walking holiday - why not make it in Norfolk?! Amazing scenery, wildlife, food and drink.
Cracking start to the week. My Ma @gillgodfrey picked the little’uns up this morning so I could whizz to Aylsham to my favourite butchers @whitesbutchers where I grabbed a couple of kilos of beef ready to make a batch of Bourguignon. The sky is blue and beautiful and Iggy Pop Lust for life was playing on the radio so I cranked that up good and proper. Now home to start on the salted caramel fudge that’s been ordered. Spot on! Happy Monday all!
