This is Pork Kilawin, or at least I think that’s what this is called. At Venz Kitchen🍴in MoalBoal we had a girl sitting next to us that ordered this dish and it looked so good and we asked her what it was. It’s made with crispy pieces of fried pork, cucumber, onions and chili 🌶 in a vinegar based sauce. <<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<<<<
We had already ordered our lunch so we decided we would just have to come back for dinner to have this as well! Talk about tasty, packed with flavor that exploded in my mouth. I’ll have 2️⃣ more please 😁

We also love to travel on land but truth be told I can't WAIT to be back on the boat, soaking up the sunshine and floating around in the salty goodness that is the Indian Ocean.
Do you know the difference between red, green and blue taxis?
Red taxis operate throughout most of Hong Kong, while the green ones service the New Territories, and the blue ones only operate on Lantau Island. #stayblackdoors

When traveling to moalboal on Cebu Island in the Philippines🇵🇭, you must find this amazing restaurant called Venz Kitchen🍴 They serve amazing Filipino food. I was lucky enough to be staying across the street and the food was so good that I didn’t even bother trying anything else and I ate there for all three of my meals out.
This tantalizing dessert here is called Halo Halo which is a traditional Filipino dessert and is my new favorite. It’s quite fun because everyone does it differently so I’m always excited to try new ones. It’s a delicious shaved ice 🍨concoction with a wide range of different ingredients including evaporated milk, fruits🍍 jellies, corn flakes, ice cream and numerous other things I can’t name or describe. <<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<<<<
It’s simply divine!
What do you do with your banana peels?
Recently we started eating ours, because food waste sucks and so does composting on the road.
I read somewhere that banana peels have many nutritional benefits - high amounts of vitamin B6 & B12 + magnesium and potassium. If eating it raw isn’t your thing, check out my recipe for curry banana peel.
2 banana peels
Yellow curry powder
Fry garlic, onion and ginger in in oil. Add curry powder fry for a couple minutes, then add banana peels fry for another few minutes. Add coconut milk and a little water and let it go. We had it with rice and lentils. 😋
