Un recuerdo panorámico de algún tiempo atrás, tomada con aquella vieja Nikon Colpix 3200, que vista a la distancia, tomaba buenas fotos!

- hi 👋 -
⋖ thought I should reintroduce myself and the purpose of this blog ⋗
My name is Nicola. I have a masters in engineering, specializing in materials and especially polymers. To translate: I understand how plastic is made from the ground up, why there are so many different types, how they are mass-produced, and the way they behave on a very very very small scale (under a microscope).
I am a nerd, yes, but also an artist and a self-proclaimed hippie. I love marine biology, and have had the good fortune of lots of travel as a child - nurturing a very strong devotion to the preservation of our beautiful marine ecosystems. Over time this has progressed to an all-encompassing passion to take care of our planet.
My intention on this platform is to communicate the importance of sustainability in a positive, peaceful, and creative manner. I also hope to clear some of the confusion about plastic: why certain types can't be recycled, where its use can't be avoided (at least for now), discuss potential solutions, etc. (I'm welcome to suggestions! 😊)

@colaneriestatewinery plants Daikon in the vineyards..it aids soil health by aerating and softening the soil. Love strolling through vineyards and looking at how all the wineries differ from one another 🍇
