Got to hear a much needed message about self-care tonight at encounter from Dr. Parker. “Life is hard work, life is heart work, life is worth the work, and with Christ, I can do the work.” So much insight and realtalk about the necessity of self-care to prevent burn out, all of which start with finding peace in my identity in the Lord and not in my grades or success. Thankful for PFA and this community that continues to nourish me spiritually at Pton.

Forgive yourself for not being perfect and don’t give up after falling off the horse one day.
Wether you are on a new workout routine and you have an unexpected late day at work and miss your workout for the day or you are on a new diet plan and found out the day of that your parents planned a surprise party for your second cousins graduation and you end up having some cake while your there, don’t forget that no one is perfect. We are all human and mistakes happen. Just get back to it strong the next day 💪🏽
What New Years resolutions have you made for yourself this year?
#newyearsresolution this year is to spend more time outdoors! ☀️I used to hike and bike almost daily but this past year I comfortably settled into exercising at home ( yoga, Pilates, etc.) It made sense with my travel schedule and I could do it anytime, anywhere! But... hiking and biking made being active fun! And I miss that! Also, kinda miss that tan 😉 #fitness#fitnessgoals#2019goals

All my life I delt with weight issues either I was overweight as a little girl then after being bullied so much I went through anorexia and I was on the verge of death I only weighed 90lbs at age 14 after 2 years of trying to get better I finally gained a healthy weight but after being fed with a feeding tube my belly was always bloated and round I didn't know what diet or workouts would work for me. I never felt confident, but thanks to my hubby Peter for knowing how to workout and diet I finally got into the shape I've always dreamt of and I want to tell everyone that yes it is possible to get into a shape! You just have to train your mind it's the mind that honestly needs the most training because if we say " I can't do it" you never will but if you say " I can do it, and overcome your excuses, I promise you that your body is capable of so much! Its never too late to start now! Let 2019 be your revenge body!
