I saw these sweet violet faces peeking out of a crevice in an one of the big oak trees that lines the block by my children’s school.
This photo could have been taken deep in the woodland, but it in actuality it was in a residential area in the middle the city!
Nature magic is everywhere!
Wishing you a beautiful and inspiring day! 💜✨🌸
Amethyst, Piedra Parada, Mun. De Tatatila, Veracruz, Mexico.
A magnificent starburst Amethyst from the classic Veracruz deposit. The quartz crystals have a beautiful Muzo-habit with a light lavender colour. The crystals are also very gemmy and lustrous. $170 USD + free shipping.
Unpacking is taking awhile! But I did get to romp off and find a sale on some bulbs and seeds for this year's GARDEN! 🌱🌷
Oh my, how I've missed gardening!
A few years ago my theme was blacks and reds - this round will be purples, a dash of blue, and black/white contrasts. 🌘And LOOK!! OH.MY. GOTH. I FOUND MOONFLOWERS AGAIN LOCALLY! 🌒 Yes, that is a damn squee of delight you just heard out if me!
Now to see what grows in the established gardenbeds before deciding locations. Looks like I have crocus, daffodils, AND tulips. 🌷💜 #naturesArt#gothgarden#gothgardeners#blacklily#moonflower#theGothFromHoth
Azurite and Malachite. Milpillas Mine, Cananea District, Mun. de Santa Cruz, Sonora, Mexico.
From their first appearance in 2006/07, azurites from the oxidized zone of porphyry copper deposit at Milpillas have garnered a reputation of being some of the best over to come to the specimen market, surpassing even those of the legendary Tsumeb mine. Having said that, the nature of the deposit has resulted in many large crystals and crystal groups being matrix-contacted. This fabulous specimen with half-a-dozen free-standing, perfectly terminated blue-black crystals is an exception to that generality. The aesthetics of the piece are elevated by the contrast of the pure white dickite matrix, itself decoratively enhanced by hemispherical blebs of green malachite. Photo credit: Jeff Scovil
