Some of you may see this picture as vain, for me it’s a fear.
I have never liked seeing pictures or videos of myself. I have ALWAYS been extremely hard on myself for my appearance.
Why do I share this you ask??
I share because it’s true and it’s human. I may own a gym, and coach and guide people every single day to be happy and healthy, but that does not mean that I don’t struggle.
I struggle every single day to love my body. I have gotten so much better, and I can say I truly love my true self/my soul. I am practicing and learning to like how I look.
So today when all the negative self talk started in my head, I walked over to the mirror and made myself look at myself and say positive words about myself. I stayed there until I could actually smile at myself and pick out all the good things about me. And look at my body for what it can do. I stayed there until I felt appreciation, gratitude and joy. Then I went on about my workout and my day. I was proud to have switched my thoughts. I was proud to walk away feeling like I had grown and learned. And I was grateful for everything that my body allowed me to do for the rest of the day. .
We have been programmed by society to look and feel a certain way. I am learning to say “fuck that” and do my own thing.....AND LOVE IT!!!
I hope this inspires all you beautiful humans to own and love who you are.
Love all your imperfections, and be grateful for everything you have. .
You are not alone....YOU ARE HUMAN!! .
Swipe for my daily shenanigans!!
Here in Hampi, the locals always say 'Happy in Hampi' and I have to agree.. How could I not have a big smile on my face with a view like that + sunset like that, under a beautiful Banyan like that?! 🌳 Hampi is sooo incredibly beautiful & GREEN 🌴💚🍃💚🌿
We talked earlier in the week about hanging plants. This is a fab example of scandi chic and general houseplant loveliness by @jodiegray__ Super on trend with both the baskets and macrame. Both Ivy and Spider plants are serious air cleaners as they absorb some really nasty toxins that are found in the house. Thanks @jodiegray_ for sharing!
