Fall is just around the corner people! It’s that perfect time to head up to one of your favorite local crags and make a difference. @nathan_berro here. Long time climber and fellow Holcomb Valley lover. I’m excited to be a part of the Hands-On Holcomb team reaching out to all of you and can’t wait for September 29-30 where we are back at it again for another Holcomb Valley clean up! Come climb all day Saturday and stay for the clean up Sunday from 8am until 2pm or so (after climbers coffee of course). Keep an eye out for further updates and details and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, comments or concerns. #california

“He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you.” ~Bob Marley
We’ll be celebrating 11 yrs in a few weeks and this is the essence of our marriage, our life, our happiness.
Spent this past weekend in Moshannon State Forest, a place I call home, a place that was so influential to my development and outlook. This place changed me, for better, or for worse. I'm sure everyone can relate, going to "that place", your place, the place that makes you happy, that place you call home. For me, it's here. I was privileged enough to live several years working a dream job, out in the wilds everyday, tracking Timber Rattlesnakes deep into their habitats with my camera. Watching the seasons change, life being born, and a wild world around me unfold. Some days I'd see more bear or elk than people. This is a place where the only light at night is made by the moon and stars, and where you can howl at the moon and dance like a fool because nobody in the world is watching. No cell service, none of the amenities we take for granted, just straight wild. This was where I found myself, and lost myself at the same time. Everytime I go back I learn something new, and see something new. Stay tuned for more pics from this wondrous place.
