You hit me like novocaine. You numb me to every feeling, every action. The hours pass like minutes and I end the episode with the realisation that I have done nothing but lay in bed. I know that you’re not “lack of motivation”. I know that because you don’t urge me to pursue other detrimental activities like browsing social media or binge watching Netflix. You just settle over my soul and make me shut off 75% of my nerve endings physically and psychologically.
Seperti bahagia, sedih pun punya tingkatan.

I was searching for another word to describe numbness and dear old friend Google pointed me towards you. I would have assumed that you meant “doing nonsense” or “being stupid about something”, but you actually mean “lack of awareness or concern; indifference.”

“During an early morning game drive in Etosha, Namibia, we stopped by Okaukuejo water hole,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Yaron Schmid. “This place is known for the large amount of animals that tend to visit it during the day. Unfortunately, only a lone zebra and a few Oryx were in the area. Luckily, this cautious zebra finally reached the water and started drinking as the first rays of the rising sun penetrated the morning clouds.” This image was selected for the Daily Dozen on November 19, 2018.

“Cabo Pulmo is a small village located in between Cabo San Lucas and La Paz, Mexico,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Samantha Schwann. “In 1995, the residents petitioned the government to create a marine reserve to protect the area, which was being depleted by fishing operations and causing damage to the coral reef, estimated to be 20,000 years old. Since then, the biomass has seen an increase of nearly 450%, with a return of some species which hadn’t been seen since the 1980’s.”
“This scene is awesome. I love how they are making this turn in unison, my eye follows them to the dark spot where they are heading. I bet this was so amazing to witness in real life. Thanks for the detailed caption explaining the need to protect this area. Well done.” — @natgeoyourshot Producer David Y. Lee (@davidylee)
