Sunrise over the desert landscape near Zion National Park after a starry night and a day filled with running. Loved how the sky almost looked like a ocean with waves of color.
Happy Earth Day! Remember to keep in mind each little thing you can do to minimize your impact on the environment & make things better! (Stay on trails, leave no trace, respect animals, help save the bees, avoid using single-use plastics...) Small changes can have a BIG impact! Here's hoping we can get even better at taking care of our environment and each other. 💚🌿 #lnt

Indigenous peoples of the American West have called the area of Yellowstone home for more than 10,000 years. This land is still considered sacred land today by the 26 tribes that have ancestral connections to the area.
Did you know that this week is National Park week and today is Earth Day?!! 🌎 Earth Day is 49 years old. It got its start on April 22, 1970 when millions of Americans coast to coast rallied for environmental reform. Today that call is even stronger and felt world wide. I'm of the belief that everyday should be Earth 🌎 Day. I hope that you will take the time to think about what you can do to protect and preserve this beautiful planet today and for generations to come.
How will you celebrate? .
Happy Earth Day!
This is the best boy on Earth, and he wants to remind you to pick up your trash, drown your campfires, and stop leaving your 💩 bags on the damn trails!
Unfortunately, I’m spending most of Earth Day in the airport...but that just means it’s almost time to see @zekelovesmountains again!
Happy Earth Day and National Park week!! The best $80 we spend all year is on a National Parks pass. The pass lets you enjoy any park and pays for itself if you plan to visit more than two parks and one pass is good for your whole family. How many National parks are you visiting this year?
“What does it mean that the earth is so beautiful? And what should I do about it?” - Mary Oliver .
Happy Earth Day! ❤️🌎 I hope that you’re able to get outside today to celebrate the beauty of this incredible place we get to call home. (**unless you like carving your initials into aspen trees, then please stay inside and please stop 🙃)
We spotted this black bear and the little ears of her cubs last week in the northern tier of Yellowstone. The cubs remained out of view but Mama strolled out in the field for awhile. She sported two green earrings ( #23 it looked like) and a Kind of scruffy face.
Colorado is one of my favorite States to visit. I love all the national parks there. My favorite place to go is Rocky mountain national park. I would recommend flying into Denver international then renting a car to go to the national park. Because it is about a 2 hour drive from the airport to the park. The best place to stay for me at least is anywhere in Estes Park. If you like haunted hotels I would say you should stay at the Stanley hotel. It is famously haunted and they do offer ghost tours. I would be aware that the ghost tours are very G rated, but the tours are still pretty fun. I have stayed at the Stanley before and the hotel is amazing. Also happy Earth day everyone!
Finding a veritable flower garden this weekend in remote parts of the Santa Monica Mountains. Even though the superbloom has faded in some areas, there are so many microclimates in these mountains that it's just reaching its peak in other places. So many people never venture into these mountains except to drive from valley to sea. But it's #NationalParkWeek and a good time to get out and experience the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, established in 1978 as part of the National Park System.
For many people the beach is Sri Lanka, and small though the island is, it really is no slouch in the sand and sea department. There are long golden ones, there are dainty ones with soft white sand, there are wind- and, wave-battered ones and ones without a footstep for miles. Some have a slowly, slowly vibe and some have a lively party vibe, but whichever you choose, the beaches of Sri Lanka really are as gorgeous as you’ve heard. And one of the best things about Sri Lanka’s beaches is that no matter what time of year you go if it’s raining on one coast then chances are it’ll be sun hat and swimmers weather on the other.
