The tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the sixth-tallest in the world. The supertall structure has the same name as the North Tower of the original World Trade Center, which was destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

Three days trekking in the Colca Canyon, really beautiful colourful Andean valley. We spent almost a whole day going down, then one up and down and finally the last day solidly up! The canyon has a depth of 3,270 metres and is the world second deepest by only a marginal amount. I didn’t realise quit how hard the climb up would be especially after struggling again with altitude sickness the previous days, simply stunning landscapes but the physically hardest hike I think I’ve ever done up the hill!
What friendship that stands the test of time looks like - two elderly men taking a stroll along the back streets of Kanda station, Tokyo.
Japan has one of the most rapidly aging societies in the world, with approximately 30% of the population aged 65 and over. A product of Japan's post-war single-minded pursuit of economic growth, many of these elderly live out their remaining years in isolation. Estimates put the number of "lonely deaths" at 4,000 a week, an astoundingly sad number.

I went for a very long walk today. Colonial Lake is a good place to end it.
I love coming across old pictures when cleaning out my phone. This was taken with a disposable camera overlooking London from Primrose Hill on an oddly warm New Years Eve eve. It was a bittersweet moment swirling with memories of a city that has meant so much to me, while saying goodbye to the journey of 2017. It’s strange the moments that stick in your mind forever, this split second of was one of them. Man pictures are so fun for keeping memories inside of them
A life without dreams is a dead life. One is either moving forward and growing or that person is dying. This wonderful human has encouraged and pushed me to grow in every aspect of my life. Tonight I am thankful for her.

A change of landscape to say the least. Not mad about it though.

Hey friends! I’ve been MIA lately thanks to crazy allergies and asthma which is just no fun at all.
But this throwback from Ireland is reminding that I need to get back out there and start shooting again! Who’s up for an Atlanta mural tour? 🙋♀️

✨Los Angeles Galaxy✨
With a sea of clouds blanketing the city, I checked several weather forecasts and knew this was rare opportunity to go see something very special - the Milky Way core from the high mountains above LA. It's an idea I've had for a while but required so many weather elements to align:
- The right season.
- Low clouds to block light pollution not just in LA but in all the surrounding counties.
- No mid clouds to block your eye-level view.
- No high clouds to block the sky.
In particular, I wanted to see the Milky Way rise and line up directly over Mt Baldy - the tallest mountain in LA. I did some last minute calculations to find the right vantage point and research on how to get there by 3AM. There was little a bit of hesitation... I rarely start a new hike in the dark, especially a less used steep trail involving rock scrambling (almost as scary as Strawberry Peak in the San Gabriels), narrow ridges, and steep drop-offs (slippery and therefore more dangerous than Angel's Landing in Utah). No one was crazy enough to join me (@lahikes you missed out!) so I packed my warmest jacket, strongest headlamp, extra batteries, double checked my map apps, downed some caffeine, and headed out solo. It ended up being everything I was hoping for and I truly felt like an explorer - I'm not sure anyone else has ever had this particular view before! On the way down I turned off my headlamp as dark night ended and the moon rose over an orange-blue horizon shortly before sunrise (see previous posts). *

Goal for next year - capture this again, but with snow on the Mt Baldy...
Honestly, I can’t believe we’ve got just a week to go before the unofficial start of summer — felt like late November in the Northeast on Saturday! Anyone else jones-ing for an ocean vista, a warm breeze and a lobster roll? ⚓️⚓️

Have BIG dreams??? Get used to people thinking you are crazy 😜😏💁
