Some days I'm just not feeling it. Like today. I was happy to get out of bed but was not overly feeling the gym (not helped by the fact that when I arrived I realised I'd forgotten my favourite headphones and my hairbrush 😤)
But these are the days that I now know really make the difference. So I showed up for myself!
LISS is not my favourite day anyway but it's necessary. I have a big session on a Wednesday (trap, rows etc.) and I know that my body needs to recover from that but remain active.
✔️ Warm up including glute activation exercises with band ✔️ 20 mins on stair master - I like to mix up the speed and step frequency with kick-backs to activate glutes as well as sideways steps to activate as many muscles as possible ✔️ I hit the mat for 10 minutes for some abs work (bicycle, plank, weighted russian twist)
✔️ Finished off with some 75% sprints (it's LISS day after all so want to keep that 💓 under control) and some maximum incline walking
Now that it's done I'm really glad I went and it's set me up for the rest of the day.
Looking forward to hitting a big weights session tomorrow though 😋😂

I use to get so out of breathe walking up stairs 😭😭 i want to be healthy and watch them grow up. I previously lost 3.5 stone with slimmingworld, yesss i gained it back 😭 but i had a rough couple of years. My uncle mum and friend passed away withing 6 months of each other and i also had a miscarriage 💔 so i just ate myself stupid.
But i am in a good place now and ready to start my journey again. We have a family holiday in july to vegas, sonds strange taken the kids lol but we have family who live there so were stayin with them for 2 glorious weeks in the sun ♡♡ i have lost 2 stone so far and hoping 2 get another stone off before holiday. Ive 4 stone to to go target 💪💪 which i will hopefully have off by xmas 😘 i am like everyone else, i have my ups and downs. Im an honest person so i do post my downs too. Some people dnt like it and unfollow me, but i do it because im tryin to be honest and real.

So my partner and I took our eldest daughter to see Disney on ice yesterday. My partner took a photo of her and me and as I looked back on it ready to upload it to social media to share how excited we were with everyone, I was stalled by what was looking back in the photo. I was disgusted with the way I looked and felt sick seeing how much weight I had gained through having 2 kids and letting myself go being comfortable in a relationship. I'm at the point where I am DONE being fat. Well here it is....42... Full disclosure, not where I thought I’d be at this age. Not 10 years ago or even 5 years ago actually. But after everything I’ve gone through I’ve learned A LOT about myself. I’m one hard ass worker, super stubborn and persistent (my mum called me scrappy recently) and I am always open to working on myself and growing. I’ve tried to hold onto my nickname of “Eternal Optimist” and see the good in every lesson and everyone. I’m am so lucky to have the family and friends that I do have in my life. So lucky to feel as loved as I do by them 💕🙏🏼 I may not be where I thought I’d be in life but I know I’m well on my way to where I’m supposed to be. I’m trusting in the divine timing of my life and trusting that the universe has my back.
