Inside the Museum of Islamic Art is this beautiful courtyard overlooking Doha bay, and the modern city beyond. It’s a popular spot and I waited for so long to get this shot with no people. In the end though, I preferred this version. It’s the six storylines of the people in the arches which intrigued me ; each of them paired and framed by the arches as they watched the sun set.

Highly influenced by Jean de La Fontaine, Willy Aractingi painted the complete 239 Fables. A colossal work that he started in January 1989 and took him seven years to accomplish.
Contemporary happenings were turned to account. Humorous, nuances and ironical for instance The Mocker (Tiger) or Donkey the Eternal Victorious. So far as appears, are of Willy’s invention.
The subject of each of Willy’s stories, is often common property of many ages and races. What gives them their rare distinction is the freshness in narration, the deftness of touch, the unconstrained suppleness of metrical structure, the unfailing humor of the pointed moral, the consummate art of their apparent artlessness

Where you are today is no accident. God is using the situation you are in right now to shape you and prepare you for the place He wants you to bring tomorrow and the person He wants you to become. Trust Him even when you don't understand. ❤️🌈
A few years back I took a long lay over in Doha the capital of Qatar just to check out the The Museum of Islamic Arts aka MIA. Designed by the architectural legend IM Pei the building is stunning from both the inside and outside. The building is set on its own man made island that juts out into the nearby bay. My favorite part of the museum was the flowery skylight on the roof top of the building, when you look up a portion of it is superimposed by a massive circular chandelier. I spent almost an entire day roaming around the museum and still couldn’t get enough of it.
Other than the MIA, Pei’s most famous work is the iconic glass pyramid at the Louvre in Paris. His designs were renowned for their emphasis on precision geometry, plain surfaces and natural light.
