When in competition prep, calories get slashed! And when that happens, most coaches will ensure the client is getting their macros from whole food sources to keep the volume of food up. Meaning, by the end of my prep I had to say goodbye to my beloved protein powders.
I can honestly say, my Core Nutritionals’ products were on the top of my cravings list and greatly missed!
How I use my proteins:
1️⃣MRP: whole meal replacement used alone or mixed with oatmeal for a high macro pre-workout! Made from complex carbs: oat and barley flour, it keeps me full for hours.
2️⃣Pro: Sustained release protein blend of whey and casein. I use Pro in baked goods (hello, #meatyloaf) or post workout when I don’t have my ISO on hand.
3️⃣ISO: my absolute favorite post-workout shake (paired with a bagel for the ultimate pwo meal). ISO goes down easily, digests quickly and the high concentration of amino acids absorbs fast starting the process of muscle repair quickly to achieve those gains!

Still rocking he black eye but it’s faded to a nice shade of yellow 🙄. Had an implant post placed four weeks ago and for whatever reason, it has decided to make my life hell the last 2 days. Have so many things to do that I don’t know where to start. Ate frozen yogurt for lunch 🙄. Live is chaotic but I’m trying to take my own advice and feed my mind only positive thoughts. Happy Tuesday. Make it a good one.

Believe it or not this is someone's back, the muscles on one side are that swollen from an old injury that you can't tell, but this is one side of the back showing where the muscles have been ripped in the past and are now struggling to heal... until I did some Indonesian Massage followed by Gua Sha.
Twice in one day...I must be mad 😆
I have a busy week ahead in the salon this week and then we’re visiting friends at the weekend so my only days to fit in my workouts are today and tomorrow and needs must - eating healthy alone won’t give me the bikini body I want, I need to combine the healthy eating with exercise!
So...Bodypump this morning and now I’m back to do Bodycombat 💪🏋🏻♀️ Then hopefully yoga 🧘🏻♀️ tomorrow if I get a space in the class!
I will certainly feel it tomorrow...best make sure I have another protein shake when I get home along with my Phytosport after workout to help my muscle repair!

🌸It’s not fat it’s an abdominal gap!🌸 This beautiful patient has #diastasisrecti from sternum to pubic bone measuring 4-6 cm wide, 2 cm deep. As you can see when she is in a standing posture the laxity of the linea alba and the separation of the abdominal muscles cause the abdominal cavity to push forward. This gives a “pregnant” look or even appears as excess fat. On the left you can see when she is lying flat the abdominal contents return to their proper location, and a very slim and toned tummy is revealed.
This photo is an excellent example of the frustration of many mothers following pregnancy. You ever have one of those days where you wake up and you just don't feel yourself? I'm such a positive thinker, but for some reason I couldn't stop crying this morning. I even kept reminding myself that I'm being stupid and I need to snap out of it.
This journey since surgery has been a wild one. I'm officially 12 weeks post op from getting my separated abdominal muscles sewn back together, and a breast augmentation (that was the easy part). And as happy as I am to finally have my abs back together, because I've been told it will help with my strength in pole, I am actually left feeling really frustrated and upset.
Dancing is my everything. When I'm happy I dance it out. When I'm sad, I dance it out. When I'm anxious, I dance it out. Who am I now that I'm unable to pole dance?
The surgeon told me I was able to fully resume all previous activity as long as it didn't hurt. Well, it still hurts to sneeze. Planking is a whole new story, let me tell ya.
On top of it all, my stomach feels so weird. They peeled my skin back as if they were skinning an animal. My skin still hasn't fully reattached to my abdominal wall and lymphatic system. Therefore I still swell up, and my nerves are starting to reconnect which fires off random pain signals when unexpectedly touched. Can't even WAIT to see how leg hangs are going to feel 😂
So yeah, having a little "woe is me" moment because I just want to dance like I used to. Especially during this stressful school semester.
Sometimes you just gotta whine, right? But yes, im still thankful for this opportunity. Still happy I did it. Just being impatient af.
