My youngest was off today as her school is a polling station and so after I finished off this satchel I took the rest of the day off and spent it in the garden with her. It was lovely - fabulous weather, planting seeds in our little secret garden behind my workroom, a picnic, chatting and generally feeling relaxed. We even managed a quick bike ride over to the park. I love stolen guilt-free days off like today. Balancing running your own business and being a mum can be so hard at times as I'm sure you all know. I don't always get it right and it's so important to cherish these days. I hope you've all had a fabulous day too.
Today me and Carly went for a walk to the park whilst Hayley slept with dad for nap time. Man it felt good to just get some fresh air and spend one on one quality time with Carly. Since being a big sis, which she has adjusted to so well may I add. I felt like it was needed to give her my full attention every now and again and same with Hayley. It’s hard to even out my love and attention for them but at the end of the day I just want them to know, I love them both equally and spending quality time with them both. Then tonight I went out to dinner with my other half just us two because that one on one time is just as important. Thinking I will sleep so much better with all that fresh air and a full heart 🥰

I LOVE my job but I also love hump day as it’s my day off!
Today I’d planned to drop the kids at school, drop the dog off at his grooming appointment and then it was a morning of yoga for me followed by some grooming myself. All ready in time for school pick up and then the madness off gymnastics for the big one and drama for the little one!
Universe had other ideas. The big one woke up “ill” the little one wanted packed lunch (I had no bread or crackers- mums you know the cracker situation) and the Husband wanted a lift to the station. He made me run late, nothing major but still. Dropped him off, then pulled into Sainsbury’s to get a ready made sandwich for Madame number 2. Got out the car and heard a hissing sound. Looked down and watched my tyre deflate! 🙈 my brand new 4 day old tyre- fucked! Rang the best father in law ever to come help me. He arrived I took little one to school - only 10 mins late! Got back to car and we couldn’t get the wheel off. Luckily there was a mechanic opposite who kindly helped us and then suggest I take it to his pal who would fit me a new one right now! Took car and the nicest man who helped me and offered to check my tyre pressure every couple of months ( it’s cool husband Jamie’s got this 😂😂🙈😜😜). I got the dog to his appointment 30 minutes late but the lady was also lovely and offered to keep him until after my waxing appointment! Got waxed so now I’m fuzz free- always a good day. The dogs fuzz free. Ava and I managed a quick scroll through the park which meant I had my own photographer to hand not to mention 121 time with my big girl, even if I did trip her up. Picked up little one took her to drama, came home and got all the stuff I hadn’t had a chance to do due to my “bad morning” Picked her back up and all home in time to watch the sunset! And breathe.... I could have sulked about the morning and the money I’d lost but what’s the fucking point! It’s done! Gone! Can’t change it! How was everyone else’s hump day? •
My daughter finished her first year of 6th form 2 weeks ago to go on study leave. She has just one exam left now so we spent a couple of hours this morning making pompoms just to have some downtime; a break from revision and other stressors in life! .
. We chatted, we laughed, we snipped! A morning well spent, I’d say!
Mum & Daughter Time
