..... And it is OK! 💜 I had a lovely conversation with a client the other day about letting things be as they are. About not reacting or trying to fix/improve/fight something, just allowing life to be what it is at this very moment. And allowing OURSELVES to be (and feel) exactly what we are at the present moment. The good, the bad, the awkward, the sad, the ecstatic... 💜 Sounds simple enough, but can be so challenging when unexpected things come up. Times when you want to run and hide (me from myself mostly!)! 💜 And yet Life is never perfect. We're never "finished" or static in our Being-ness. Allowing things / us / other people / circumstances to be as they are creates a kind of inner spaciousness that is very centering, calming, and reassuring. We're in this together. We are all figuring things out, in our own unique way. And that we are OK. As we are. 💜 .

I am so grateful for the opportunity to grow and evolve as an entrepreneur and as person with my beautiful wife by my side. A lot of what I post on here has to do with the physical realm of life.
I guess, I want to show (physically) how we can go about sustainably optimizing our livelihood through the mediums of strength training, mobility work, breathwork and overall movement and play/ with things that require very little "equipment", we can do so much with a body (technology) and the willingness to explore.
What many people may not know though, (which I haven’t exactly been particularly transparent about) is that I actually have seen more growth and healing occur while working through emotions, beliefs, and rewiring the mindset.
We can certainly heal through physical means (massage, PT, chiro, stretching and strengthening, etc) but there is always more than what meets the eye.
You are a super complex being of complex systems and complex particles. But most of all you are a super conscious that is constantly taking in information while either storing or throwing that information away.
If we hold on to too much junk and fail to discard what not longer serves us, than it will inevitably result in dysfunction, disharmony and dis-ease.
However, the beauty of it is that as fast as it comes in is just as fast as it may leave. You just have to know how to let it go.
Flowing in the frontal plane and working on my hoop isolations. I was focused on staying in the hoop frame, adding some playfulness, and moving with the beat :) If you didn’t already know... I’m passionate about movement based practices and ways to keep fit with enjoyable activities 😍 Hoop dance flow is SO enjoyable for me! I guess this is where kinesiology and yoga shine through. Emotions, chemistry of the body (happy vs stress hormones), the engagement/relaxation of muscles, and how we hold tension in the body... all play a factor in your health. When your body starts to open up, it can unlock some powerful emotional energy that can fuel your hopes and dreams. Well, for me anyways 😄
Bottom line: Movement based activities help keep you fit ~ physically and emotionally, so find an activity you enjoy and keep the body moving! 💃🏻 #ShannonAutumn#movementismedicine

living in the silicon valley, you almost never hear anyone say that they are not super busy. i realized that i have been saying this as well for the past three years. there is never an end to this while i continue to be in this environment.
just like happiness cannot be found in the future, but only in the now, there will never be a time when it is less busy and less hectic. there is always the next thing coming up and when you think this week is busy but next week will be more chill, it's usually not the case. it reminds me to practice slowing down every day and not waiting for it to slow down in the future because then i'm not living in the present moment but rather waiting for something that is mentally constructed in the future.
this weekend i will slow down and do less 🙏

kicked off a new foundation routine this morning with some workouts I came up with last night. the hammock allows me to be so creative with movement even after taking foundation a million times. love finding new ways to tire y’all out 😊
I started using @waterminder_app and I've been loving it! Although I try my best to stay hydrated I feel like I never actually do 🤦🏼♀️ the reminders throughout the day from the app have been helping me keep on track and I have been feeling great 💧😁💪
