Having your picture taken, especially when I am less than five feet away from you, is a vulnerable moment.
For both of us.
Brené Brown once said, I define vulnerability as uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure.
Maybe that’s why I find myself here, time and time again. I thrive in this space. It IS uncomfortable. It IS risky. It IS emotionally exposing. For BOTH of us.
But. It’s also one of the best feelings in the whole world. It forces me to acknowledge what it is I’m not wanting to feel. It can be scary to be seen, to fall short of words, or to look weird, (no matter what side of the camera you’re on.) But when we see this as an opportunity, we’re able to connect with other people in a way we weren’t before. We’re able to see that we are all a lot more alike than we are different.
Vulnerability has given me a platform to photograph the essence of you and this is one of the things I am most proud of in life.

Happy #wildlifewednesday! We spotted this guy this past fall on the slopes of Rainier. We had seen them before from afar, but this was the first time (and not the last!) that we got to experience the goats at a closer range. These adorable guys are fluffy, majestic, and absolutely HUGE! It's important to remember to always stay 100 meters or more away from these animals, and to make sure to stay off the fragile meadows that make up their habitat - that way these goats can continue to be the GOAT 🐐
A Monday at the office is making me wish I was here instead.
Also, new year new me am I right? Nah.. just trying out a new editing style and tryin to fine tune different techniques this year. Let me know how you guys like it 🤷🏼♂️
A lone hiker rests for a while amidst the clouds... Whenever the weather turns south, you can always count on the Olympic forests giving you what you need. There’s never a dull moment out here, whatever the weather.

I love it here for one simple reason...the trees outnumber the houses. Washington is such a beautiful state.
