“What was your favorite part about Paris?” Learning that the city sits on top of a bunch of abandoned quarries that were causing entire blocks of buildings to cave in so they hired an architect to fix it and he filled the empty quarries with 6 million bodies from the city’s overflowing graveyards. If that isn’t the most metal thing to ever exist idk what is🤷🏻♀️😈 But it’s also really beautiful because the skulls and femurs are arranged into different designs and they’re juxtaposed with thoughtful quotes about life from the Bible and literature🖤
Heureux celui qui a toujours
devant les yeux l’heure de sa mort et
qui se dispose tous les jours à mourir
Blessed is he who keeps ever in sight
the hour of his death and
is always ready to die
Ou est elle la Mort? toujours
future ou passée. Apeine est-elle
presente, que deja elle n’est plus.
Where is Death? eternal
in future or past. As soon as she
appears, she’s already gone.
Last glimpse of Paris...I never imagined myself climbing #300stepsup#montmartre#montmartre🇫🇷 If you’re coming to Paris, you absolutely need to take a walk in Montmartre! This area is the most romantic and awesome place you’ll find in Paris. To visit Montmartre will positively inspire you and wake the artist in you up. The truth is that usually people that visit Paris go straight to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica (read more about the Sacre Coeur) or to Place du Tertre, where street artists do tourists portraits and illustrations of the neighborhood. But there’s so so much more about Montmartre than these! Its narrow alleys, its windmills, its little details, its soul are some of the things that make Montmartre so unique. A walk in Montmartre is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. It’s a walk you won’t be forgetting anytime soon. I’ve already heard people say that Montmartre was the reason why they fell in love with Paris. Montmartre will turn out to be one of the reasons why you will want to come back to Paris❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹Source:google.com
Montmartre is my favorite place in Paris 💕
And you know why ? I like the effervescence of these streets. Small lovely shops, charming paved road, and art everywhere. Monet, Renoir, Picasso, Mondrian... all those artists came to Montmartre to reveal their art. Unique atmosphere ✨
